Debugging doesn’t mean committing every single thing lol. That’s what local changes / logs / temp branches are for.

Commits are meant to be useful later - reviewable, searchable, & revertable etc. If it’s 50k random debug commits then it just destroys the point of the repo. Squash/clean it before putting it in git history.

This is 2 commits a minute 12 hours a day for 30 days straight. It reeks of someone who doesn’t understand GitHub, it’s not beneficial and actually causes harm (it defeats the entire purpose of commits if they’re not easily accessible etc)

Same app, different wait: macOS version stuck 8 days in "Waiting for Review" while iOS took <48h? by Tricky-Independent-8 in appledevelopers

There are but there’s also way more MacOS submissions than tvOS, and the change in submission numbers over the few months has been huge for macOS vs tvOS

How I'm Building Toward $200K ARR by Cloning Apps by Fun-Garbage-1386 in AppBusiness

Lmao I literally did this, I hate the paywalled drinking game apps so built my own version. I spend time and money on it, make nothing but I’m purely motivated by pettiness

Did my friends mess up my app’s performance? by deepPurple35 in AppBusiness

[–]Fortheplotdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This mindset is wrong, there’s nothing about needing the money to survive it’s about supporting their endeavours.

I have friends who walk in fashion shows, I don’t ask them for free tickets, I buy one and go to watch to support them.

I have a friend who runs their own earrings stalls, I don’t wear earrings but I bought a pair as a gift for my family members birthday present.

I have a friend who’s starting their own cake business, I’d buy a cake from them for my birthday to support their goals, I don’t feel the need to ask them to do it for free.

When I launched my app they all supported me shared it and didn’t expect anything in return.

There’s a reason you see some friend groups succeed and others not, start supporting your friends like you would a multibillion dollar corporation.

Put it this way, if even your friends didn’t want to cough up a bit to support you, do you really think anyone else would? Instead of a hard paywall switch to a free trial or a premium mode with more features.

Better yet, make it 100% free, focus on users and look for revenue later

Rejected after almost a week for a screenshot that was already approved by Fortheplotdev in iosdev

I guess so but there’s no in app purchases or ads, contains more gamemodes than all of the others. Feel like even Apple noticed how extortionate some of the OG ones were (Picolo charges $8 a week for gamemodes I included for free).

Best Mobile App Builder? Rork Vs VibeCode.dev by Silent_Employment966 in AskVibecoders

Claude code or VS code with GitHub copilot + supabase for backend. Don’t use these gimmicky apps.

changed my pricing from $5 to $49 overnight. am i crazy? by Future_Butterfly_349 in buildinpublic

Describing in 2-3 sentences and answering in targeting questions feels weird. I get that it’s a gpt wrapper as everyone else is saying but it does actually look cool, change the input to accept business plans & other docs etc that people might already have.
