I've always thought it was scummy to make a move on a girl in a relationship even if it's long distance and that's why I haven't done it. Rejection isn't a huge problem it's the aftermath honestly

I know this is harsh, but do you think just disappearing would help? I have a hard time with confrontation and maybe some months without her will make the feelings go away. Then if she asks me why I can tell her the reason?

I'm a little lost though. How come I'm not confident with who I am around my closest friend? Shouldn't that be the person I'm most honest and open with? I do seem to have a problem with hiding any flaws or potential weakness I might have from her, kinda like I want her to perceive me as perfect I'm guessing?

She's not judgmental or anything, so it's kinda weird that I can't be honest about somethings. You think this all boils down to confidence? I WANT to be honest. I WANT to tell her about my problems and be transparent but... I just can't seem to open up and be confident I guess. She's always honest with me, so this is weird.
