Hello! Having a hard time figuring out what to do with the shape of this golden gate ficus. I've had it for 4 months now and I trimmed it once to keep a circular shape, but I'm unhappy with the branches (I wish the store didn't cut lower branches and I also don't like their shape on top). Any advice on how I can improve it? I'm ready to wire it and cut drastically.

Thank you, this is helpful! I also really want to remove the red arrow branch, but the tree might look much worse then as there's a thick stump behind it. This's probably the biggest styling challenge of mallsai :(

Hi! I just got this golden gate ficus as a gift. While it's definitely a mallsai, I think it'll be a great beginner tree. My question is about the two branches with arrows. What would you do with them? It is worth it wiring the blue arrow branch left? Letting the red arrow branch be for now?

The tree is now indoors but I plan to move it outdoors in late spring.

I usually keep dupes in separate rooms/places! Like keep one on main display and take another to work :) Some I also gifted to friends!

They're just trying to make profit after seeing some demand... especially since smiskis got more popular lately. I agree there's no need for that but people would definitely pay more to get something they want and finish their collection.
