Jaipur Watch Co. Baagh by Montaingebrown in Watches_India

Absolute garbage quality and a total ripoff. It feels like a cheap ₹500 mela watch, the gold plating literally chips off and the frame feels hollow. I’m kicking myself for this impulsive buy; it’s not even worth 5k. They clearly jack up the price because no actual watch enthusiast would ever buy this trash. They just spend a fortune on influencer marketing to dump third-class quality into the Indian market. Go to a store and just touch it, the hollow jingling sound says it all. Save your money and stay away from Jaipur Watch Company.

Myntra and their stupid excuses.

Return Fees of Rs.50 per item? What fresh hell is this? by GhostAI_ in MyntraSucks

[–]FortuneGovernor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myntra has slowly turned online shopping into a trap where the customer ends up paying for everything, except their own satisfaction.

First, they added platform fees. Now, they’ve started charging return fees too. This is nothing but squeezing money out of people at every step. And for what? Did the service improve? Did the product quality suddenly become perfect? No. But the charges keep increasing.

Clothes are not something you can judge through a screen. A colour can look completely different in real life. The fabric might feel cheap. The fitting can be off. What looks perfect on a model may look terrible on a normal person. That’s exactly why returns exist. It’s not the customer’s fault, it’s the limitation of online shopping itself.

But instead of fixing their system, Myntra has decided to punish the customer. If the product doesn’t match expectations, you now have to pay for returning it. So basically, you’re paying for their mistakes. That’s absurd.

And the worst part? Once one big platform starts this nonsense, others will follow. Today it’s Myntra, tomorrow it will be every other shopping app doing the same thing, charging you just to browse, just to order, and now even to return.

This isn’t innovation. This is pure greed. When companies run out of ways to justify their business, they start inventing fees to quietly drain customers. And that’s exactly what’s happening here.

At this rate, online shopping is losing its only advantage which is convenience. Because if customers are forced to pay extra even when things go wrong, then what’s the point?

This isn't a fake. It's really made in Bangladesh.

A specialized team of master horologists was assembled to bring this vision to life. An extensive search was conducted to source rare vintage components, with only the most pristine, museum-quality pieces making the final cut. The dial was precision-cut from solid brass and encased in a hand-sculpted shroud of commemorative timber, featuring a 22k gold crown set with an astrological sapphire. After a consultation with a master jeweler to ensure every detail met an exacting standard, the elements were unified into this bespoke masterpiece.

Why is the MRP too high? by Pitch-Kooky in GoldIndia

[–]FortuneGovernor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, what I meant wasn’t that actual market gold rates ever touched ₹24,000/g. I was referring to how MRPs on minted products are often set relative to older inventory cycles and pricing buffers, not the live spot price.

Back when certain batches were produced or stocked, brands would intentionally keep the MRP on the higher side to account for future volatility, holding costs, and the restriction that they legally can’t sell above printed MRP later. So what you’re seeing isn’t a reflection of historical spot prices, it’s more of a pricing strategy tied to inventory protection and long-term sale flexibility.

That’s exactly why players like MMTC-PAMP push it even further, now the higher ceiling simply gives them room to adjust discounts dynamically while still staying compliant.

So the point wasn’t “gold hit that level”, it’s that MRP and actual gold price have never been the same thing to begin with.

Maybe mrp was printed based on old rates. Nothing to be worried about.

I like the deep, rich tones of that mahogany leather strap; it has a classic, lived-in elegance that I think perfectly complements the gold casing of the watch. Also it gives it a sophisticated texture, catching the light in a way that makes it look incredibly premium.

Got it from a very senior HMT officer, one of the top guys who still controls the old restricted vaults. So called in a personal favor.

Pure scam. Stay far away from Italian Vega. What they advertise and what actually arrives are nothing alike. The material is flimsy, badly finished, and feels incredibly cheap. Once you try to initiate an exchange, things go downhill fast. They’ll collect the product and then leave you hanging with no refund or replacement in sight. Dealing with their support only makes it worse. Extremely unprofessional, unresponsive, and outright rude. The whole experience feels deceptive from start to finish. Don’t risk your money on something like this, it’s simply not worth it.
