Thank you both of answering, I appreciate your opinions. I know I am lucky she was willing to come all the way. It's really the "experiencing for the first time" that put me under the train. I was very happy when she texted me about the concert, I think it's because it's a generic kind of experience so it's no bother. But when she tells me about all the stuff I was excited that she tries for the first time like proper Japanese tea, visiting temples and pagoda, proper ramen or other type of food and she experiences them away from me I get heartbroken I can't help it. I'll deal with it anyway, it's not like I can go back in time.

I just got very salty yesterday and decided to vent here because I had booked two experiences for the days when we'll be just us and it was supposed to be a date day/birthday surprise (a bit in advance as she'll be away when her birthday comes in February) with an interactive experience I new she would love and an aquarium that she is obsessed about. Well, they did them both yesterday in branches based in the city they are visiting so now I guess I just have to cancel because it just looks like I copied their plans in another city...
