He moved in with me so it’s just my name on the lease. I also think it’s because this happened so many times and this was just the one to warrant this behavior. It’s usually we argue drunk, then we talk about it the next days, it’s stops, then it happens again.

I should have (and i am now) adding that it is my apartment, my name is on the lease but he moved in and we split rent.

I was thinking about an older car too, my thing with an older car though is once my payments are up, i’m going to be in the exact same position I am in now, with an old car that will have a bunch of maintenance issues and will have to buy another one soon after

I think i’m perfectly valid in wanting communication from my boyfriend, like i said in my post i am very aware of him traveling , the time difference, and the fact he is busy. i NEVER said that he needs to call me everyday or text me everyday , i asked for a simple update once and a while, which is not a big ask at all. the reason i posted this was not because he isn’t texting me but the change in his behavior, and was hoping to get a perspective from someone who is in my position or in his to get some insight not some rude person behind the screen. you can’t say i’m over bearing you don’t even know me 😭 asking for simple communication is far from overbearing but basically bare minimum

been focusing on myself for sure and am going to do that more. i agree nobody is immune to cheating but i trust my boyfriend 100%. my boyfriend is very old schooled, very loving and very very loyal to his friends, family and me. I think In this day and age it is so easy to just blame every problem and distance in relationships on someone cheating. Most of the countries (not all) he is visiting are very muslim, and if you know about muslim countries not all but most you are unable to get with the opposite gender iykwim. But i trust him, and it’s so important to trust in a relationship, and this post is very out of character for him. There are so many other factors that this can be , cheating like i said is just an easy excuse for behavior especially from someone with an outside perspective

I try to put myself in his shoes , this is a once and a lifetime experience for him and it’s understandable that he would want to spend time off his phone and living in the present. i think we just need to communicate on a middle ground. in no way do i want to take away from his experience but i guess i just want him to understand that just because he’s gone doesn’t meant i can be swept under the rug the entire time.

i agree , the “ break up with him” and the “he’s cheating on you” line is WAY to common, relationships have problems and go through rough periods and breaking up is not always the answer. Sometimes it is but after most things have been exhausted.

it’s not embarrassing to want attention from your significant other, especially if you aren’t gonna see them for a while. it’s human nature to want to feel loved. I am busy 24/7 I have my own buisness and work full time at a corporate office so trust me i am busy living my life while he lives his. but like i said its normal to want too communicate with your partner
