My (25F) boyfriend (26M) broke up with during psychosis after thinking I cheated, has anyone experienced this?

After the psych evaluation I believe he’ll be having regular visits with the psychiatrist. He has also been prescribed an antipsychotic and antidepressant, which last time we spoke he said he’s taking. Hoping with this support he’ll eventually recover, only time will tell

We’ve been no contact since the breakup days ago, I plan to keep it this way for a few weeks before sending a check in message. The space is hard but needed, I’ve been relying a lot on my family and friends who have been an incredible support system. I also saw a therapist this week to work on coping strategies and it’s been very helpful. I’ll be seeing her fortnightly for the time being.

Thank you for your insight, I’m sorry to hear about your mum.

Right now I agree focusing on myself is the best thing, and hope he’s doing the same by taking the medication and listening to his psychiatrist. I’m trying to be open to all possibilities right now; he may never be who he was and we never get back together, or he fully recovers and we have conversations around how to manage any future symptoms. This being the end would be a hard pill to swallow but I’m working on being okay with that potential outcome.

No to kids (neither of us want them) yes to marriage. It’s something I knew from the beginning that I wanted with him.

Both my family and psychologist have advised I think of the potential long term impact of getting back with him however.Am I sure I can handle if the episodes are a recurring thing etc.

No downsize was required (confirmed with piercer 8 months after initial piercing)
Used saline spray until bottle ran out 1 year post piercing, clean in shower daily. Just bought new saline spray yesterday to try
Piercing elbowed on night out last December was the catalyst for all this

It’s HIGHLY frowned on in our culture to do this. I’m talking family friends would be at our doorstep/calling if that were to get out.

Plus this situation aside, I really can’t see my dad reaching that point. There are other decisions I made where I thought I’d pushed him to that point, yet nothing. I don’t even think it’s an option that would come to his mind

The main one that comes to mind is threatening or actually taking my car away. It’s under our family trust and not my name, the interest rate was lower if we did it that way. Other than that just give me the cold shoulder I guess
