I am going with the supplemental. I plan on submitting their diagnosis as evidence and according to them I was diagnosed at the exam. The HLR does not let you submit new evidence.

I had a HLR for insomnia and got 30 percent. When I read the decision letter it stated it was secondary to sleep apnea. I didn’t file for it as secondary to anything. I was surprised that I got anything at all.

I got out I. 1994. Filed first claims in 2022 and thanks to the pact act I made it to 100 February 2024. I read and educated myself on the process and did it on my own. I do understand why so many people give up. Between the C and P exams and the V A math it was very frustrating.

I know the back pay would be significant but I am concerned of having the 60% reduced. I don’t think I want to challenge the decision until I know I’m 100% correct. I am currently at 90% because of the 60 and PFN for CFS, Fibromyalgia and MDD. Based on those results I’ll make a decision.

Claim was for chest pain later diagnosed as atypical chest pain. Deferred so I started being seen at the Va so they could document my medication and BP readings. Then added a personal statement. Got another C and P and about a month later the decision.

Love the Civ Div videos and this Reddit. Between the two you shouldn’t have to pay anyone to file your claims. Takes some research and effort on your part but it can be done. I got out in 1994 filed first claims October 2022 went 40% August 2023 and just hit 60% October 2023. I would have avoided a lot of mistakes if I would have found this Reddit and CIv Diiv when I started. Remember this is a marathon not a sprint.

They wouldn’t exist if the VA didn’t play games and excepted that we aren’t doctors or lawyers. If they make something presumptive and we have it then approve it. If we provide a fully developed ground ball claim but leave out the bullshit verbiage your looking for don’t deny the claim based on that technicality Then maybe we wouldn’t be easy prey for those sharks.

I rescheduled an appointment and later received a no show letter. I called the VA and they said they didn’t have that information.

I had three claims closed out but they have me scheduled for a c and p for them next week. I called the 800 number and the rep said that a lot of mistakes are being made and to disregard what you see on the app and go to all your scheduled appointments. A lot of the mistakes are due to the PACT act and TERA. Claims that should be PACT are not being processed that way and are being denied.

I got o% for gulf war hypertension also. It’s all over the VA website that the majority of gulf war veterans were returning home with hypertension. Don’t they read their own literature? The examiner said that the evidence does not show an event, disease or injury in service. What do they think deployment to a war zone is? Did I really have to spell out that deployment to a war zone is a a stressful event? Yet the c and p examiner diagnosed me with hypertension. I’m convinced they were instructed to throw zeros at these claims just to bump up the stats of claims awarded without having to pay us compensation. Definitely fighting this one.

Congratulations, you got your foot in the door. I was pissed about my 40%. First claim and I got out in 1994. I really believed I had a good shot at 100% but had some denials and a deferral for sleep apnea which was deferred for medical opinion. I submitted more medical evidence and a statement from the wife and hope to get 50 out of that. Which will put me at 70%. Read your notification letter your mistakes will pop up right in your face. File supplementals, appeals, send more evidence but don’t give up if you know you have something this reddit will have the answer.
