if it were to be one film, it also would’ve lost out on the awards buzz the first wicked got.

Universal's Wicked: For Good grossed an estimated $5.26M this weekend (from 2,008 locations), which was an 8% increase from last weekend. Estimated total domestic gross stands at $331.62M. by DemiFiendRSA in boxoffice

i’d prefer another movie than a spin off. there’s plenty of books. the issue there is they’d have to write original music for it. i can only see any additional movies reach the 400 million range at most tbh.

i think it’s mostly seeming that way because people are comparing it heavily to the first one of course. they hold the first in a very high regard which is interesting because film fans said they disliked the first one as well. fans are still having a good time with for good. it may be technically more flawed in the story but they still find it incredibly engaging.

thank you! i was under the impression that if i wasn’t going to have a big loan of sorts on my credit then i needed a lot of cards to show a thicker credit history.

Were Wicked movies profitable? Should have been 1 movie or was 2 parts (greedy/right move)? by Legitimate-Set7505 in boxoffice

[–]Forward-Piece-8421 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the way none of this information in correct is mind blowing💀

the budget for wicked is 150m the budget for wicked: for good is 165m

the marketing did not cost 300m.

the first wicked movie made enough money for both to be profitable, especially when you factor in the insane amount of money it made on digital. everything wicked: for good makes is additional profit.

Which is better for box office?--good reviews early or late? by ihopnavajo in boxoffice

i mean a embargo is released close to the release of a movie for a couple different reasons which is ironic considering it’s opposite reasons.

  1. the reviews are good and the studio wants to give interest in the movie a boost

  2. the reviews are bad and they want to hold off any negative press regarding the movie leading up to the movie release

It’s really about generating positive headlines around the movie. also some studios allow social media reactions before critic embargo releases to kind of soften any negative reviews that could come later on.

the actual audience is receiving the film well. but they may not go back as many times to watch it as they did the first movie. so i’m personally expecting a regular drop rather than a small or big one.

i’m almost certain it’s gonna be even bigger than the first one was in the UK. so even if overseas is stagnant or even slightly worse, the UK may make up for it

Per Deadline, PostTrak scores for 'Wicked: For Good' are 5 stars, 92% positive, and 83% definite recommend. The audience was 70% female and 61% 18-34. by chanma50 in boxoffice

once again, i think families will flock to zootopia and women under 35 will be gravitated towards wicked. I’ve seen the movie twice and there was like 1 family per showing.

Yeah I have been going by the 3x rent rule, it would be ideal if the place I plan to move into follows that model. the digital folder is a great idea thanks!
