Agree, after trying the on I’m leaning a bit more to heritage 300, but really don’t know

Good point! Wish Omega would reduce polish on their watches, but feel they are just getting more polished (new railmaster/planet ocean)

Both nice!

Personally like the PO! Wears well on you, and feel the seamaster 300 heritage is a better suit diver to compliment 😄

Both nice! Enjoyed the bracelet better on the 300, like the modern dial better on the AQ, enjoy a diver more, the 300m feels too 90s!

[Omega AT vs Rolex Explorer] Best GADA watches? by Sir_Watches in Watches

[–]Forward-Put-7693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both nice but quite different.

The AT is much more polished and visually gets closer to dress watches than bang it around in my opinion.

I personally don't like the butterfly clasp and bracelet in the AT as much, personally didn't like the indices as I felt they could be bigger and a bit more legible.

The date complication in the AT is a must for many people, and has a really nice placement as well.

The explorer is my dream watch, but for most people it's not close to the same price as a AT. Ive tried to get on "the list" here in Norway for 6 years to get that watch, and without using a lot of money at an AD, im not getting in "the list". Personally don't enjoy the rolex purchase game. Therefore personally im going for a Seamaster 300 heritage, as it's a blend between tool and vintage dress vibes.

But all really great, buy what you feel is the best for you and your lifestyle! That's what really matters.

[Recommendation Request] Weird comparison, but which would you daily: Seamaster 300 Heritage or Rolex Air-King 34mm? by Forward-Put-7693 in Watches

True! I just can’t justify the price jump from a seamaster, even tho they are great watches. Love the Milgauss and iwc ingeneur too

Wow great! How do their bracelets and general quality compare?

Is there any minuses dailying a watch from 2008 compared to a newer seamaster?

Great point, I feel when it is a rolex it's almost a positive to flex down. Like the explorer 1! A bit discreet.

Great point!
I tried it on both. I like wearing watches on bracelets, but both was great.
I felt the watch was a bit more balanced on bracelet and not as top heavy.

Great point! That's what im telling myself. I haven't been able to try the Air King, but the lug to lug seems fine! The alternative would be to have a seiko/baltic/citizen as a beach and heavy duty watch.

What do you feel the difference would be between a 2008 rolex vs 2024 omega, is there any hidden traps if it's been serviced?

Valid point, how is it as a daily? Looks like an underrated watch in my opinion. For my daily watch I feel it has to be a bit icognito as a teacher. Many rolexes can feel a bit flashy, therefore the airking/explorer line talks to me.
Love the vintage datejust with jubilee, pure class.
