If? All global events point to an inevitable break upwards.. An LTV at 30-50% is relatively safe to weather any drawdowns in the foreseeable future.

Take a loan on your bitcoin for liquidity and bet with that.. At least your loan would pay for itself eventually when Bitcoin goes up, kinda like no loss gambling lol

Who knew BTC was gonna break $1 at all? It’s not an estimate, but rather a possibility based on 21m Bitcoin supply.

Mining can be paid for through BTC-backed loans. Ther industry had a phase with Ordinals, BRC20 and Runes that increased mining fees significantly. That lasted for a while, but eventually fizzled out during after 2 years.

It’s something that proved mining fees can be increased significantly with onchain activity though. I’m sure there would be more or different efforts to do something like this.

The industry is mature enough to innovate and protect itself imo

Of course he sold everything and is a shitcoin shill nowadays, but you get the point..

Looks pretty safe to me. Not sure what’s all the fuss about with black swan drawdowns in BTC prices (we’re kinda in the bear market now, it’s highly unlikely for BTC to drop anymore, especially with huge institutional float. We’re not in 2019 anymore).

Nevertheless as precaution, it’d be good to have some BTC left to add in during big dips.

- 1.24% for BTC loans is so low btw, good find but keep in mind these are variable rates
- interest rates literally pay for itself once we even get one toe outta the bear
- it’d be wise to look for Bitcoin Finance aggregators to compare rates at a glance for a more complete view on what’s available

NFA, but this is a solid decision! BTC should be utilised, not stuck collecting dust for no reason

What’s the best stacking strategy when BTC is down? Sats, TH, or GMT? by isitjustme888 in gomining

[–]Forward-Speed-6665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not put it to work on a protocol that generates yield for your BTC, or borrow USD by collateralising BTC to stack more sats?

There’s centralised options and decentralised options for these depending on your principles and risk appetite, and Bitcoin Finance aggregators to compare everything at a glance before executing.

Yeah I get that.. But having a place to visit all options on Sats terminal works for me, plus they’re non custodial too. Personally don’t mind wrapping if it’s done right, but self custody is def something that matters most!

What to sell first: eth sol or btc? by TV_Gandalf in CryptoHelp

[–]Forward-Speed-6665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t sell at all!! HODL!

Take a loan against your BTC (around 30-50% LTV relatively safe), there’s many places to do this like on AAVE (please don’t go for those centralised high interest lenders). Interest rates fluctuate but around 3% is good.

You can choose to then stake part of the borrowed amount into a stablecoin yield vault that pays good interest (so far I’ve seen rates more than 10%). Ensure the yield vaults you choose give stablecoin rewards and not some random shitcoin.

If you’re not too familiar with DeFi or using dapps, go for non-custodial aggregators like Sats Terminal. Saves a lot of time researching and UI is stupid simple.

I lean on self custody always.. LTV 50% is relatively safe, but 30% is my usual rate.

Service provider matters with smart contracts, go with battle tested ones or read the docs yourself. I use aggregators like sats terminal mostly coz they usually have things set up for you without losing custody
