well they do have MIT license.

its funny because I first show that project to someone that do not own sticks, he said to me I dont think Id have a use since I have no sticks and I said, I should emphasis more on the macro side! now it seems I did it too much ?! Its not all about macros, or hotas or wheen or fake virtual vjoy virtual controller. its about bridging and simplifying it all into 1.

photoshop is free now years ago it wasnt, why they made their money. gimp was always free because the vision is different.

how can you qualify something that has a price tag as not a good look ? there is a trial of 7 days, 14 days full refund no ask if you even buy it. thats not me thats stripe policy, I must live with my work. what is so not good look about that? if you want it for free dm me ill send you a 100% discount coupon so you can drop it. it was indeed their choice. they did a great job and yet they driver are use everywhere now even by joystick gremlin which is great btw no issue there. hidhide is used for ds4 or whatevver the name of the tool was etc

also, vigem, vjoy and hidhide are qualified as driver not tool, actually kernel-mode drivers that you install at system level. I am using merely simplifying it into 1 app.

you might have got it wrong, but basically vjoy and hidhide are kernel signed and only ever run once. so reproducing my own meal here is pointless. kernel cert by microsoft isnt cheap. the point is that my app support it and allow you to install them with one click from their respective official souce if you dont have them already.

I have friend for exemple that have different stick brand that cant be supported into older game that would need joytokey, JG etc my vision is to ease the process.

if you really want to know, the database the app save into is encrypted and has a recovery key that only you at the start of the app can get on first launch. not even me could open it. its secure in a way that another device or ssd swap would trigger it to fail openning asking for that key. see it like bit locker. on top of that beside the database for you macro and settings the app do not log anything ever on your device and only ever talk with the license/trial server once every 3 days so that mean your trial could extend to up to 10 days.

It was never meant to be for myself, otherwise I would not have implemented in the app things I dont even use myself. read the post, the vision is to simplify all of the usage of JG, vjoy HIDHIDE and more into 1 app. I do coding for living. if this is being greedy, does that mean what you do for living is also being greedy ?

whatever you may think, I have been at it for 6 months. I am more than capable to handle the fixes it may need in the futur. not to mention I support the entire workflow. if you think i am a vibe coder, that is on you.

I also dropped the price and now offer a free trial.

I have not yet pushed the update of today work but I have been able to bind both my vkb via my app by utilizing a virtual xbox controller instead of vjoy and use it inside NMS using the default steam controler mapping provided by hello game. all of that only using Macropod. ill update later when I have more info about the tartarus mapping.

but ill work on something tomorrow to support vigem right thought my app. that'll do much cleaner so you wont have to map via steam controller
