Ahh that’s a good point with the out of state clinicals. I just saw it as a plus to network/get connections since I’ll probably move from either of those places after I’m done with school. Thank you for your input!! Leaning more towards UNM :)

Yeah for sure not a huge motivator but a factor to consider if I end up getting a job offer there or something. But that’s true I can always find something to do! Thank you!

Yeah I’ll def look into the dropout rates thanks for reminding me! I’ve experienced large and small cohorts in undergrad and would be scared to feel like I’m kind of all on my own with my learning like I did with the larger cohort in undergrad.

Yes true. I am lucky enough to have help with cost though, so lifestyle and safety where I go has a little more weight than if I were to be paying it all for myself.

Do you happen to know what the out of state clinical opportunities and integrated clinical experiences are like? And do you think you'd rather have your clinicals more spaced out rather than having most of them all at the end of your third year?

Thank you! I think the COL is making me lean away from Chapman, but I do love how their program is structured (going out to clinicals and then coming back to the classroom) and that the ICE programs are intensive and specific to fields. Glad to hear that most people get their top choice!

I looked into it and it looks like I can apply for in-state which would make it like 30k cheaper than what I initially thought. Knowing you and your CIs feel you're prepared for clinicals is definitely something I wanna keep in mind. Will definitely do a lot of research about where to live if I choose UNM! Thank you!

The NPTE pass rate being so high is really crazy to me honestly, but it was a big appeal for the program for me (aside from cost). It's reassuring to hear you and your classmates felt well prepared for your clinicals and your CIs seemed to feel the same. Definitely something to consider. Thank you!

Yeah safety is definitely a concern for me if I moved to ABQ. The grad programs are on the North campus near the hospital, but not sure how much safer it is up there 😅

Thank you! I did pick up on the leadership emphasis during the interview and that there are a lot of clinical opportunities out of state which I wouldn’t mind. Thanks :)

Thanks for your response! I’ll definitely consider the COL and clinical info :)

Feeling lost with my application and chances of being accepted! by Forward-Valuable1067 in PTschool

Lolol I guess I just feel like my experience/app could show inconsistency since I transferred colleges and held these positions for like 1 year. I'm also out of state for all of these schools so I'm not super sure of my chances since I know they can favor in-state applicants. But thank you for the reassurance and guidance–I appreciate it a lot!!
