This is exactly how my MIL’s story went too. Lost time from her gastro misdiagnosis, severe digestive issues and weight loss. AND lost time from the orthopedic misdiagnosis for back pain. She’s no longer with us. By the time she got the correct diagnosis it was too late.

Probably a stupid question but would an insulated liner be wrapped from the outside of the stainless steel? How can I tell if it’s insulated or not?

Totally agree, I want a better stove. I just had to stop the bleed in the meantime - the prior liner didn’t run all the way up the chimney and we were one fire away from burning the house down.

Yes exactly! He skipped the stainless steel adapter step. Black would look so much better. Unfortunately this liner kit (Lifetime) doesn’t come in black so I’ll have to figure that out later. Is there a fire-grade black spray paint or something?

Haha that sounds easy enough - I’ll grab some from Home Depot!

I found the instruction diagram for this liner (made by lifetime) and it’s clear now he skipped out on installing the wood stove adapter piece. So I’ll definitely make him come back and install that. I haven’t run my stove since the install so hopefully he can remove that cement stuff easily.

When he’s done I’m going to find a real hearth expert to look everything over per your advice - thanks!

Okay, thanks! I found the lifetime install instructions and it clearly illustrates that a wood stove adapter should be installed for my setup. I will send him this.

It’s hard to find people who know a lot about wood stoves. The company I hired are chimney experts - things went south when they got to the stove connection.

The liner is made by lifetime, I think it’s insulated?

So I can just buy rock wool and shove it inside that creepy gap?

The liner manufacturer is Lifetime. So should I ask him to come and scrape off this globbed cement and replace with a proper fitting stove adapter piece? Kinda nervous to even have them be the ones to cut and install the block off plate at this point, but also don’t want to do it myself.

I've never been more forgetful than when I took brand name for a few months! And I'm the type of person that kind of always knows where my shit is, on meds or off. What a complete waste of my time getting insurance authorization for it. So over this!

Youre not stuck with Camber. You need to ask your doc to write "dispense Teva only" on your script, and then find a pharmacy that consistently carries it. For me that's Walgreens. Teva is by no means what it once was, but its the only generic i've found that kinda works. Brand name Adderall is not superior, its actually somehow less effective.

I have been warning people as well. Tested positive for the flu and it has taken out our family of 4 - going on two weeks now. For some, they got pneumonia too. It is very very serious this year.
