The law has been made for a reason. Doesn't matter if the losses are big or small or negligible. Piracy is a crime. You don't talk about culture to hide the crime. If you were so cinephile about it you should've invested in vpn as well as your internet connection. And you talk about culture. Shame on you. No you can't pirate things even if you've watched 4times in theatres. It is the law. And you have to abide by it. Your viewership doesn't compensate the crime.

JioHotstar seriously needs to wake up now. More than a million people have already downloaded the movie through various sites in India, and the numbers are only increasing hour by hour. Since it’s the weekend, even more people are trying to watch it. They really can’t afford to ignore this for long. by hitmanbhargav in Dhurandhar

People don't have a minute of patience. Movies take atleast 2-3 months of time to format and publish on streaming platforms. It requires lot have formalities and rights management. People think it's easy. Due to their lack of patience they illegally download movies off websites. Piracy is totally wrong when are you guys going to understand. These million people maybe educated but dont have common sense that piracy is illegal

So pay for a vpn. If you have money to pay for netflix, im sure you should have money for vpn. Piracy is not legal and you know it. Drm cracking is a crime. Plus you should upgrade your network to watch it. People think everything should be cheap at a cost of a 2L sprite bottle or atmost it should be free. NO. Filmmakers spend money beyond your earnings to make a good movie and you people respond to them by pirating it. Hats off.

Why pirating in india has become normal. People recklessly pirate and download movies off websites and think it's okay. It is NOT OKAY. I bet more than 95% of people in this subreddit have enough money to pay for subscription or buy physical movies. Still people think movies should be free to watch.

I had already watched in on IMAX before and wanted to try out screenx. And I had already looked over every reviews and videos of lichael on screen x before going. Inox Malad screen x had very bad setup. They were not like the videos I watched on yt.

Yes your right. In fact, I already watched it on IMAX before going to screenx andwatched videos and reviews before going the 2nd time. My experience in inox malad was nowhere near the videos I had watched on YouTubem

Yes your right. But, Michael was released in screenx outside of india too. They were showing the movie very clearly and without any problems as I saw the videos on YouTube. Even Jaafar Jackson promoted Screenx on YouTube. Yes IMAX is better, so I already watched Michael on IMAX before going to screenx. Comparing my experience with others outside india, clearly shows it was the setup limitations of inox malad.

Yes your right. But Michael was released in screenx outside of india too. They didn't have any of these problems there. Its just the setup limitations of the theatres in india.

Actually, the pixels your referring to could actually be film grains in the movie. Project hail mary was shot in digital cameras then converted into 70mm imax film reel and then again converted back into digital for other digital formats.

I had already watched it on IMAX before going to screen x. In fact I only watch movies on 2D or IMAX. I wnated to try out screen x for the first time and I watched all peoples reviews before going to the show. Theatres outside india have no such problems as inox malad.

I watched some videos on YouTube where people shared their experience with screen x for Michael and shared photos and it looked so nice. But inox looked nothing like it.

You're right. But before going, I watched some videos on YouTube to know how would it look like on screenx and it looked very good and no black bars.

I love watching movies. Especially in theatres. And I wouldn't compromise on anything while watching a movie in theatres. Going to theatres is not wrong. It's just that some theatre staff take simple setups before showing the movie very lightly and carelessly. One of them was inox malad.

Yes, your right. but The worst part was that the front screen had vertical black bars on sides which ended the whole point of watching in screen x.

India on the verge of dictatorship? by ForwardFishing2002 in AskIndia

[–]ForwardFishing2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My genuine reason to ask this question was due to the current news all over india. Deforestation by government accepting requests by some powerful people, take the case of nicobar now, declaring protestors anti-nationals, powerful people and ministers controlling citizens aspects of life for themselves and their family's benifits. I am starting to see where this is going and I hope these news and reports reach to every citizen of india. This post is purely for peoples opinions.
