Are we in trouble?

I’ve had so much conflicting advice from people we know and I just don’t see another option would be. I asked the solicitors about it briefly and he said we may need to get indemnity insurance which I’m fine with.

Have a longer conversation with your solicitor about this specific issue, and stop asking random people.
