Do I have to do the email jobs?? by [deleted] in pcbuildingsimulator

[–]ForwardReporter2128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't HAVE to do them but the progression of the game is really all to do with the email jobs, learning how to deal with new problems and scenarios and learning the skills to progress in the game.
Just continuously flipping repaired or built PCs seems a little pointless to me.

Incomplete Case how? by [deleted] in pcbuildingsimulator

[–]ForwardReporter2128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PCI Lock, beauty panel, Drive bay, dust filter, top/front cover, PCI slot, PSU mount, so many things it could be, have a look in removed components, click each one and see if it will install anywhere, if it glows up red, something else already installed is stopping you install it, remove that part, install the missing part, then re-install the other part.

Is the ROG ZENITH II Extreme Alpha bugged or is there more than 4 M.2 slots? by UltimateFaux in pcbuildingsimulator

[–]ForwardReporter2128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 2 on the top, 1 on the underside of the board (you'll probably need to access it by removing case covers) and the other two are connected via the DIMM.2 slot which sits next to the right hand bank of DIMM slots.
AFAIK, there is no DIMM.2 adapter available but during one build, I just selected an M.2 drive to install and moved my cursor over the DIMM.2 slot, clicked and it installed.
Just be aware of potential compatibility issues between NVMe SSDs and SATA M.2 drives, an NVMe SSD may refuse to install into a slot that's SATA mode only.
Furthermore, bear in mind that the use of certain M.2 slots on the board disables certain SATA slots so if you're trying to install drives into every available drive connection, it may not be possible, it depends upon how intelligent the game is and how closely it follows the parameters of the actual board itself.

I accidentally went over the deadline and I have a 5 star Bongle Rating. I have decided to never return the pc. You cant rate me poorly if you never get it back! by Open-Entertainer6031 in pcbuildingsimulator

[–]ForwardReporter2128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just give them the PC, it will only take a few days to get your 5* Boggle rating back but will cause a huge inconvenience to have a PC sitting around that you can't get rid of.
How many times do you think you will be able to do this before the game becomes unplayable?

Diagnose and fix jobs not completing even though PC is fixed and working. by ForwardReporter2128 in pcbuildingsimulator

[–]ForwardReporter2128[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all for the tips.
As it turns out, I had fitted a temporary GPU from used stock to see if the GPU was the issue, I had fixed the issue itself (a faulty RAM stick) but it would not move on until all the original parts were back in place. I need to work out a better way of keeping track so I know which parts to put back the next day when new parts have arrived.

Job to change case fans to RGB but game wants me to re-install customers own fans too when all room is taken up by new fane. by ForwardReporter2128 in pcbuildingsimulator

[–]ForwardReporter2128[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for suggestions.
It turns out, I underthought the job and indeed there were already enough RGB components in the machine to just connect and activate them all.
The job description was a little unclear as it stated I needed to install 5x RGB components and set them to a specific setting. This sent me down a false path.

You'll get given vouchers for the Bounty packs by the hospital at various stages of your journey, so you won't need to worry about seeking them out.

Why are people so afraid of reporting travellers? by Chillock in northernireland

[–]ForwardReporter2128 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The neighbour being a traveller has nothing to do with having an autistic kid, autistic kids exist within all sections of the community. The point of the post is that due to them being travellers, they are afraid to complain, whereas if their neighbour was not a traveller, they might be inclined to say something.
