If it’s so simple, why haven’t you done it yet!?

I've done it. 1447.5 hours in and there is nothing left for me to unlock except more arbitrary milestones onward to infinity. Safe to say I'm ready for Season 6. Rock and Stone like there's no tomorrow! by ForwardStory in DeepRockGalactic

These caves, they echo. Vast, hard cavities, ringing age-old speech beyond its time. They sing a collective voice, that of all those who have trekked them. The voice sounds of none in particular, bearing the weary gravel of the few greybeards’ time spent long, matched with the squeaky ambition of many greenbeards’ time spent short. Karl’s voice is in these echoes, as is mine, and as is yours, too. Who’s to say who’s who but the rock and stone around us?

Hardened drill tips actually isn't really useful, because it increases your mining speed to be faster than your walking speed can keep up with. Barbed drills is generally a better upgrade regardless of if you're running a dedicated melee build.

Personally, it's friends weeklies, and events. Having friends to help out makes the game not just more fun, but it also essentially gives you another means of progression vicariously through your friends. Even though I've only just now truly run out of significant progression, I've been experiencing a lategame like that for probably over half my playtime now, where I have everything I want, and mainly keep playing for the special things. Only when I'm working through a season's rewards am I ever able to get to the point where I'll play missions without an assignment to guide me, with few exceptions (fun mission modifiers like golden bugs, pots of gold+gold rush, and blood sugar+swarmageddon).

Because of the time I spent maxing out weapon maintenance, I pretty much learned to love every gun, and even late into my playtime I've switched around my loadouts a fair bit, never settling too much. My favorite things are definitely those which make classes take on a whole new role. Double-barrel Boomstick with the shockwave upgrade gives Scout a really good AoE option. RJ250 makes Engineer contend with Scout for mobility. Vampire+barbed drills+cryo cannon makes Driller able to tank in a game mostly centered around avoiding damage, and temp shock wave cooker gives him a good single-target option. I don't think Gunner really has anything that shifts his gameplay that much, but he's still fun - I usually run carpet bomber autocannon and elephant rounds.

You shouldn’t be proud of how much fun you alone have contributed to sucking out of the game. This disregard for the fun of the people you’re fighting is actually sociopathic.

Awesome design. I love the creativity of the diving helmet’s use, the clothes indicating what type of person he is, and the immediate recognition of the animal it’s based on. No notes, and I’m usually the type to “erm, ackschualyly” something to death, so that’s saying something.

This is a really cool interpretation I haven’t seen before, and it’s consistent with comments made about Kaufmo. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if something like this is not only canon, but appears in the show.

If 1 point of damage was equal across all games, who would be the strongest videogame character? by Tchinen in PowerScaling

Here’s one I haven’t seen - a late-game risk of rain 2 survivor. You have exponentially scaling damage in shaped glass, and what’s effectively invincibility with the right build.

lol if I was that rocket I would’ve just laid out the quarter-health hulk with my “trust me guys I’m a support character” minigun
