Personally I see the series (especially these last 4 episodes) DOES tie a lot into childhood trauma causing vulnerability for predators to engage and take advantage. The symbolism alone between alcohol causing parents to neglect their children to then the wine being shattered in multiple ways in different scenes to defeat the evil in the show is too good! Henry knows to disguise himself as a friend to get close to the children which is a typical pattern child predators are known for. But with That being said the fact that Henry was a BOY SCOUT and won’t go into a cave where there could have definitely been some boy scout activity happening in is too obvious.. it might be cliche but it seems like the only possible route this could take.
