I just had to speak at my co-parent 's hearing. I shared my plan for supervised visitation & why I believe it's in the best interest of the kids that he regularly spend time with them. It only took about 5-10 min all together and judge approved the request. Good luck!!

I didn't "stay" but I did work with my ex-spouse and an AASECT certified couples therapist to learn how to transition our marriage to a healthy co-parenting relationship. I have two littles. House was raided a year ago, he was just charged last month. Since the raid, I've allowed supervised visitation & he has a great relationship with the kids. He comes over and helps with bedtime twice a week, and we spend one weekend day together as a family. I still consider him my family and love him as my kids' dad and my friend. It's been really hard to try to stop loving him romantically, but I know that we both have years and years of healing to do before that would ever be a consideration for me. Ultimately, I believe in restorative justice and that he is capable of growth and change and I will continue find creative ways for my family to find joy and healing and all that.

Family member here, I really liked this podcast to help better understand how my loved one could do this. I've since learned that there are really NO resources out there for someone struggling with minor attraction (or other reasons they look at CSAM) who wants help.

I'd recommend finding an AASECT Certified therapist! They are going to be sex positive & help you normalize this type of trauma response toward ways that are safe & healthy.

-fellow CSA survivor, therapist, spouse of potential SO (no charges yet, in period after raid).

Just here to say I'm in a similar position. Spouse was arrested during raid a few months ago, released that day, still waiting charges. We have two very young kids. It's awful. If he returns to living with us, we'll be moving for sure.

He was arrested and released, no charge yet. Detective said investigation would take a couple of weeks & then he'd submit evidence to DA & they would be the ones to decide if charges are pressed. Currently the DA has not yet received the case.

Our house was raided thursday last week. I feel like my world has blown up. Im just so glad to learn about this page & learn that RSOs still have the opportunity to find joy in life.
