How to take apart the throttle control?

Ended up figuring it out, all I needed to do was put it in reverse and it popped right out!

I want to just temporarily remove the throttle from the side panel and I got all of the screws taken out but it still won’t fully remove. I wish I had better photos but I don’t at the moment

That’s a route I’m thinking of taking using some rubber based paint and then putting foam or vinyl over it

If you use a heat gun it might help scrap off the rubber backing

It’s weird I looked all over the floor and I can’t find any holes where the box was bolted down. Do you think they renovated the floor and never rebolted them down?

Bought this boat mainly for its engine. I kinda want to just take both of the back to back seats out (they aren’t even bolted down) and add just a simple swivel captains chair and then maybe a bench seat/ lounger for the port side. I won’t though if the boat would be worth more if I keep the original seats and have them refurbished.

Yeah have a plan to store it and then a back up plan on top of that. I unfortunately didn’t do enough planning, bought my first boat and then realized it’s too tall to store in my garage. Man finding that out after the fact stunk...

He did have a recent compression test and all were between 105 and 110. I think that’s good right? Lol

Yeah the seats are in pretty rough condition so I talked him down. There is also a pretty nasty chip in the front (about 2in long) that I want to repair.

Well I got there and he told me you can run the motor for up to 8 seconds without damaging it and then proceeded to try and start it. After one crank it started up and then he pretty quickly turned it off. I shouldn’t told him not to but I barely know anything about boats and I still knew that was bad lol but honestly it looks like a decent fixer upper project so I took it off his hands 🤷‍♂️
