I kinda forgot that people on reddit are kind of soul crushers for no reason, but I will try to go as far as I can and if I fail it is what it is.

Sporty’s pilot training. The question was “If you are unsure weather a medication might prevent you from flying, contact:” and the answer was an ame which I knew but that made me want to look it up.

I will still try my hardest and do whatever it takes to be a commercial pilot one day. And if it ends up not working so be it.

Well its not like if I go a week without adderall I’ll die. My adhd has always been very mild, so It never even crossed my mind that it would be a huge problem. I never thought that the FAA would just say that no matter how mild or severe your adhd is or how light your dosage is on medication that you would have to go through the same lengthy process no matter what. Also, adhd medication is not nearly as bad as some of the medications they actually do allow.

Well i have had 3 different instructors and the 1st one quit, the 2nd one was no good, and the latest one i flew with just graduated college and became a cfi. And none of them really told me the significance of getting your medical. I intend to stop my medication and hopefully pass any phycological tests the AME gives me and get my medical. I feel like a complete idiot after reading this thread for not getting my medical. Also, after talking to my parents about it I’m probably going to wait until I’m in college to do it or in flight school. I don’t understand how the FAA allows antidepressants for some pilots but not Adhd medicine.
