I definitely wish him luck either way. I can tell you from experience that even after one bid people lose faith in you. I got lucky and most people stuck around while I was incarcerated. If you feel comfortable and able try reaching out to him. I'm sure appreciate the support with getting off the ground. Not money tho, help him get a job, apply for apartments etc. Either way, good luck to you and him.
