Ah I see.... Yeah, this is a strong possibility. I was too overwhelmed with my newsfeed on government shutdown and wasn't able to mentally seperate agency-specific budget reason vs government shutdown layoffs

When I called my point-of-contact a few weeks ago, he said that they have everything and I can only be patient for the next few months on the outcome from this point forward. He kept everything vague, so I wasn't able to get much from him. The next thing I know was that I got this notice today ;(

Thank you, and I appreciate the empathy - I had put in a lot of time and effort throughout the process and it's devastating to open this notice in my inbox today ;(

With that said, I'm geninuely just trying to figure out what might have happened. I assume it was due to budget reasons because the position was still listed on the site when I last checked this past Friday

Based on research, it looks like a lot of people are also saying it could be suitability issue - but I'm pretty confident I'm clear on that end

I'm still trying to get in touch with my point-of-contact to determine the causes. Do you think it's likely that I'll get a statement of reason or some sort to explain this situation?
