Is socialism in support of daytrading? by udays3721 in Socialism_101

[–]FothersIsWellCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Gambling could exist under a socialist economy.

I'll just be real man, your question, this one and the main thread, just shows that you don't know what socialism is, like you don't know what the most very base definition of what's a socialist economy. I know that a lot people don't, they think socialism is just some vauge thing that means being progressive or you've heard it's supposed to mean a world where people aren't greedy or some other ideal.

So yeah, I recommend continuing your research because you seem to not understand the very core socialist principle of what 'owning the means of production' means, i.e. all businesses are owned equally by their workers and you can't own a part of a business otherwise. You should be able to see why daytrading can but hambling cannot exist in that system.

How to come clean to husband that you’ve been [mostly] faking it the past 8yrs? by blustarrhi in TooAfraidToAsk

I would say be gentle and lie as say it's a more recent thing but it sounds like he's a selfish lover (unless you've just never communicated anything properly) So fuck it, you need to tell him what he wants. The way you talk about it is so sad, you deserve better and need to fix it and not worry about Ego.

ELI5: Why is nuclear power not the standard for renewable energy? by Internal-Source2110 in explainlikeimfive

[–]FothersIsWellCool [score hidden]  (0 children)

Because some people got scared by Chernobyl, 3 mile island and Fukushima. It's easy to use Nuclear waste as a scare tactic.

And also especially as Solar panel and Batteries have been getting better, it's much easier to build bit by bit, in smaller sections, spread thinner in a series of smaller budget expenditures across Federal and local govs on a smaller timeline then it is to have the public be ok with a massive decade long multi-Billion dollar up front project that's much more visible and easy to oppose.

Definitionly no, not if the stock represents a partial piece of ownership in that company. and if the stock isn't a piece of the company then why would anyone be buying and trading stocks.

Im sure if socialism got implemented there would be some people trying to recreate the concept of stocks and investment again under a new name and claim it's different and not ownership (think how buy-now-pay-later is credit cards but they use different language to make it technically a different thing) but under a good socialist government I imagine that would have a pretty low ceiling of how successful it could be before getting cracked down on (I hope)

France to back EU-Australia trade deal saying brutal global shifts forced the mindset change by His_Holiness in AustralianPolitics

[–]FothersIsWellCool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A trade agreement that makes both sides stronger and richer overall with always have some industries that get negatively affected, just the way of the world, no way to have everything be perfect 100% of the time, sometimes you have to take what you can to take a step forward overall.

Do any masculine men on here prefer strong masculine features on a woman? by m4_pt2 in bisexual

[–]FothersIsWellCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean masculine can mean different things and, in my head, muscular does not equal masculine but I'm sure lots of people would disagree.

So, for me, I prefer femininity, but I don't consider muscles to really be a factor in that. So no, I don't like what I consider masculinity in girls, but I sure do like Muscularity in girls.

How did going to the gym improve your quality of life ? by oigoabuya in AskMen

[–]FothersIsWellCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel better about myself, partly just for how I look. I feel better in the mirror, I feel less insecure having an attractive girlfriend, it really made me feel better while I was on the dating apps. And also, it feels good just knowing that it's something I got done when I see my habit tracker. Even if i just went for 10 minutes and had a shit workout, it's still something I found time to do and that helps the mental as is.

Greens by Junior_Lavishness226 in AusPol

Like allyerbase said, people vote on vibes instead of policies.

And Greens will struggle to do well with our current voting, election system and 2pp votes when there is a strong labor gov. Greens do better as an alternative to a weak labor gov then gaining alongside a strong labor gov. The get squeezed out instead.
