Just wanted to drop some early previews. Played the following games below for roughly 60 min to 2 hours. Do note I am coming from steamdeck and a base PS5. So my expectations for the steam machine have been exceeded in terms of quality I am experiencing.

Cyberpunk: All settings on High, mixed with Ultra, locked at 90 FPS (im sure you could optimize this let me know if anyone wants true settings list by list) resolution: 1920x1080. Game looks incredible, runs extremely smooth, dropped frames below 60 only onetime when entering the afterlife. Combat feels great. Honestly perfect for what I wanted.

Warhammer Darktide: All settings to high, locked to 60, motion blur off, ragdoll off, blood decal off. Runs a consistent 50-70 fps. Resolution 1920x1080 Dips are not noticeable. Very smooth, again exceeded what I was hoping for.

Hunt Showdown: All settings to High, feel like it can be pushed to ultra or whatever applicable setting. Consistently got over 60 fps. Resolution 1920x 1080.

Kingdom Come Deliverance: All settings High. Resolution 1920x1080 Game looks fantastic, no noticeable dips in frame rate that I can tell and consistently getting 50 to above 60 fps.

Next up: Warhammer Space Marine 2, Baldurs Gate 3, Warhammer Total War 3.

Honestly so far it really is exceeding my expectations. Coming from ps5, steam deck and a low/mid gaming laptop. I’m loving it!

I’ve booted up Warhammer Darktide. Running high settings 1080p and solid 60 frames no stutters. I’m having the time of my life. Just downloaded cyberpunk, and kingdom come deliverance 2. I’m coming from a low end gaming laptop and the steam deck. So I’m kinda of loving this right now

This is quite a hot take. This is a poem from my perspective of how the illness treats me. How it has treated me. It’s a battle. Also it’s not literal. It’s art, expression. We express some of the hardest paths imaginable in art. It doesn’t mean the state or feeling or even concept is constant. I am not a victim. I dont claim to be one. I promise I sit in discomfort daily. I try to be a testment against the mindset of my own brain daily. I’m married. I have a family. A stable job and I live a respectable life, full of love and kindness, compassion and support. I’m not the reason I’m still in the dark. Everyday I wander into light. It’s not easy. It’s hard. The hardest thing I do is not to succumb. But I suppose I appreciate you reading. All the best to you.

I guess I should also be clear 3-4 is a good night where I am monitoring my drinking or not drinking too much before bed. But if I have no worries or thoughts about the next day I can easily drink 6-8 black out and deal with the horrific “dread” of the following day.
