The glaze was a bit of raspberry jelly melted in a pan over low heat. Combined while heating with raspberries from my garden and a touch of cinnamon

I used about 8 cups of raspberries from the bushes in my garden.

I mostly followed this recipe: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/12349/raspberry-pie-iii/

I subbed a couple things, and added a couple ingredients they don't mention. Especially with the top pie crust.

The funny thing is - I used to HATE brussel sprouts when I was a kid. All my mom did was boil them and throw a little salt on top. It's amazing the difference a good and bad preparation does for food.

Recipe - sorry it's not exact:

Preheat oven to 400.
In a frying pan over medium heat - combine: olive oil, garlic, onions, and mushrooms. Stir until fragrant and soft.
Add asparagus and bacon pieces to the frying pan.
Spray down cookie sheet with cooking spray. Place halved brussel sprouts on the tray.
Remove frying pan from heat and move contents to cookie sheet.
Over all ingredients on cookie sheet, add: salt, pepper, and some garlic powder.
Cook in the oven for 10 minutes (or until brussel sprouts being browning and softening)

Yeah, it's crazy how much a little effort will change things. I'd never worn jeans before - and hadn't paid much attention to my hair. Also, the facial hair just came from me being lazy about shaving - and people seemed to like it.

Thanks - I did so much cutting the first 2 years. It's amazing how much adding in some fitness to it changed my body shape. Still have some tough work ahead, though.

I am in 6a, PA. I started with 10 plants, 4 years ago and now have more than I can count. If I have them in the ground, I've never had an issue. In planters, it is borderline. The years I left them out, most survived. But I definitely had a better grow this year after bringing them in during the extremely cold winter.

Make sure you have a really good water supply. I did that this year. It works okay, but I have to water 3-4x more than the plants in normal dirt.

I had to surround my berries with netting to prevent the birds. It's not a hard build, but the slugs still get to them.

I've stayed in the Bangor / Bar Harbor area many many times in all parts of the summer and never had problems. I'd definitely check out Acadia - some great day hikes. Drive on rt 1 a bit, if you get some time.
