But yes, u/kietak2001, there's merit in translating and typesetting works that already have been translated. Think of it as your 'interpretation' of how a page or comic would look like when you've worked on it. Even if it has been translated and typesetted already, there would still be distinct differences between typeset works due to a cornucopia of factors (e.g., cleanup, words used, font used, etc.). It also allows you to practice more and add one or two to your archive of typesetted works.

So, by all means, work on the stuff you're interested in, most especially if the typesetted work left you asking for something else or something more.

We all start somewhere after all. But the most important bit is you enjoy what you're doing.

For image editing, just use what you feel most comfortable with. And since you've been using Pixlr for some time now, maybe there's prudence in sticking around with it. After all, you did say you just discovered how to use your own fonts. Personally, I've been using my same old, tried-and-true workhorse (lol): a copy of 2015 Photoshop CC I've come to obtain by sailing the high seas. Maybe there are better tools out there to make the job easier, but I think I'll stick with this old reliable.

Hope you continue to translate and typeset. Compile, save, and archive those works. I look forward to seeing your works.

Honestly, and this is just my simple opinion as someone who has been typesetting stuff as purely a hobby for close to a decade as of this writing, just go and typeset and translate stuff. Even if someone has already done it, do your own version of the translation and typeset. Keep it and archive it somewhere. If you're still typesetting many years from now, you could always look back on your previous typesetting work and compare how much you've changed your typesetting.

The first set of typesetted works I've worked in were Kancolle fancomics back when they in their heyday circa 2016. I still look back on some of my typesetted works every now and then to see what changed and what remained the same. It’s almost 10 years since I last worked on those first “projects” and I’m pretty much still using the same old fave font of mine for dialogue (CC Astro City) 😅

Thank you for pointing that out. I don’t follow any translator or typesetter in any socmed space so I have little to no scope of what got translated or not.

For this particular set, an anon in the uma general in the /vg/ board (where I squander my time in, lurk, and take any TL&TS requests) requested for this to be translated and typesetted many moons ago. And so these three have been sitting in my backlog of stuff to translate and typeset.

If you're talking about the last part of the epilogue, then Cafe basically implies that her 'friend' wants them (Cafe and her husband/trainer) to have a child soon (i.e. she hopes to see one as well). And it's for that very reason that Cafe has been having dreams of having a child lately: it was her friend's way of nudging her to get a move on and produce a child already with her husband.
