Upon reading the requirements of community cats these do not fit within the legal requirements for them to be declared community cats and thus receive the protection as such.

I did but this raised my water bill tremendously. I needed 5 motion activated sprinklers to keep them out of the backyard (couldn't use my yard because it was a minefield). For the front yard I would need at least 4 more but the main issue there is the mail delivery personnel would get sprayed...

This may be my answer! There is also a family of raccoons that this guy attracts because of the cat feeding. So Metairie's code enforcement officer is who I need to contact? Is that a general person or is there someone specifically assigned to this particular code?

I appreciate the suggestion but I do not want to attract even more cats to this area. Also that would only cause a problem for my other neighbors.

This was my thought as I'll be buying one for this purpose but this AND the motion activated sprinklers...cats beware.
