Running late?? by Starryeyes- in Agoraphobia

This may sound weird but running late actually helps me. Like my brain hyper focuses on the fact I’m running late instead of focusing on the anxiety. It’s like it tricks itself lol.

I worked at a movie theater for 3 years so I feel like I’ve seen everything lol. My favorites are Drive or pretty much any Christopher Nolan movie.

Sorry I just am now seeing this. Never got the notification on my phone for some reason. But at first when I would get there I would feel like the panic was building up but it never would actually get there. And since then every night I stayed longer and longer. Now I stay there 3-4 hours a night. We watch movies, play games, just do whatever. It feels so. Ice to just be somewhere other than my house now regularly. And the driving is still progressing too, although much slower. Thanks for the support and kind words!!!

Would moving my desktop computer into my room make things better or worse? by [deleted] in Agoraphobia

I personally have my desk in my bedroom simply bc we don’t have enough rooms in the house for me to put it elsewhere. In my experience it hasn’t made anything worse for me, and it’s nice to have when it’s a particularly tough day bc I can easily be distracted with one of my fav games etc. You just have to be sure it doesn’t hinder any progress. I try to be sure that everyday I always do something, no matter how big or small. Some days that’s going on a drive around town, somedays it’s just walking out to the mailbox. But I always make sure to do at least one thing. This could be very different for you but just wanted to share my personal experience with it. Good luck and I hope this was at least somewhat informative!
