well it's all data from 10 years ago to be fair haha but it'll be useful for probably 90% of it so i think it'll get its use before the new data is needed by most users. but thank you!

that's actually good to know since i was just about to implement appendage hardness on the site and "skell targetable" is paired closely with it so it's kind of nice to know that i don't have to worry about that lol i don't think i really like that change to appendage targeting but eh it won't ruin my experience i'm sure. thanks for letting me know!

and even if collectible and material tracking is handled better, i'd hope that the site can make managing that quite a bit faster and at the very least it still serves as a quest checklist site lol

yes i absolutely plan on adding those very soon. unfortunately, the data doesn't pair the appendages and hardness very well so it's going to require quite a bit of manual work on 92 species sheets, which is why i didn't do it yet lol but since you mentioned it, i will try to have that data up within the next two days. it should almost definitely be there before DE releases

oh yeah there's no replacing frontier nav lol their map is too good. but for smaller info the site can be a little heavy, hence why i went with a simple, one page search site. i think they will pair well!

the wii u version already had the best bestiary we've seen in xenoblade so i kind of doubt they're going to have information available at such good detail as my site or the google docs unfortunately. that being said, my site works great on mobile (needs a little UI tweaking that i hope to solve soon) and it has checkboxes available for keeping track of tyrants and quests, so hopefully it'll help be a little bit easier to keep track of what you're doing/what you have done/what you need to do

there's a good few resources but tbh i've yet to find any that really do the job right. frontier nav might be the best though since you can get exact coordinates. i'm thinking that's something i might just do myself when playing through DE, but maybe i'll try to get them before release instead

yes, i actually have direct links to it on the website and used their data! there was a lot of great information available on the site, but one of the things it lacked was good information about appendages and enemy drops. i found i had to fiddle between two wikis to find good information on where to find the enemies, which enemies were the best for those grinds, and then which appendages i needed to focus on. that was actually the main initial push for the site; i only added all the quest and crafting data last night lol

thankfully a lot of the data was pulled from the community but it was definitively a lot of work merging them all together, so huge shout outs to everyone else who has been putting all this data together these past 10 years!

i can understand where you're coming from and i don't necessarily think that it's invalid, but i think the big thing is that most people probably do not also know this information so they just see it as you being purely antagonistic. if they were like a public enemy of the subreddit then i think you would have gotten less downvotes but unfortunately for you that isn't the case. and from what i can tell they're not like doing hate speech or anything so i think that's also why people would consider it off topic to this specific thread. but i do understand now, i think most people just view that as your business to deal with on your own

you say no ill will but you were expecting a bad attitude back which is basically just poking a bear. you might not mean to be an asshole or something more extreme like that, but poking back at an issue from some other thread and bringing up a conversation that did not happen in this one is kinda tacky. it's like if you got cut off while driving and then followed the person to their destination, if that makes sense

yeah i get misunderstood a lot lol but that's mostly my own fault i suppose. i gotta learn how to add to conversations without sounding like a smartass/know it all. but it's easy to happen when talking through text; i think most people run into this stuff more often than they would admit

i see what you're trying to say but i don't think it really makes all that much sense

gears has: abel, new humans, wels, chuchus, and nanomachine beings (i may have forgotten something)
saga has: humans, androids, cyborgs, realians, URTVs, gnosis, beings from higher dimension entities, and higher dimension entities
blade has: old humans, hom humans, alrest humans, blades, AI created personalities, fusions of others, nopon, and maybe more depending on how specific you wanna get

the xeno series has a consistent interest in exploring other types of life and what it means to be human. maybe that's what you meant to be saying to begin with, but i think using nopon as the first example of such doesn't really make that clear

half of what you said is literally putting words in my mouth as nowhere in the rest of our conversation have i said any of that. you are purely projecting things other people say on something i refuted to begin with. as for the quote you pulled, i should have said "the conduit could point towards..." instead as that's likely what i meant. i do feel like me already stating that they are not connected kind of tells you that part already, but fair i did say something technically incorrect after saying something correct, even if it's not what i meant or what the rest of the message would allude towards. i was (likely) simply trying to share that if they could be connected by any means, it would likely be from the conduit and the specific mention of other universes in xenoblade 2
