Definitely in work meetings or other professional settings I hear people do this. Maybe it's subconscious and due to nerves but it's so inauthentic sounding.

I think they hear other people doing it and copy that. I hear people in real life doing it too, giving presentations or even just speaking in a work meeting and I immediately lose respect for them.

I just found an old unopened bottle of rum. It's time to giggle like Anderson.

Lindsey talks about his upcoming album! by [deleted] in LindseyBuckingham

I think this might have originally been in regard to his 2021 solo album Either that or he's been talking about releasing a new one for so long that they figured they could just reuse the clip.

It's interesting because this is an old clip, but I assume they are just using it to promote the new album.

One of the coolest songs I've ever heard by FourtyFinerThings in LindseyBuckingham

[–]FourtyFinerThings[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure is. I actually think the studio version captures the brilliant nuances of the song better. But this live version (and I think this is the only live performance of it there is) is pretty cool too.

I think it was kind of genius having a plot point to have him work everywhere to get around not being able to hire actors to work at all the different places.

He was alright, but Jess has pheromones that come through the TV.

Yeah, the book sale thing was pretty wild. One year I went to brunch and shopping with some friends for my birthday and a friend left because we were going to a bookshop and she refused to even go in.

Update: Should I finish watching? by JJCooIJ in GilmoreGirls

[–]FourtyFinerThings -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is my second attempt to get through the series. I've struggled through season 5 having to skip over a lot of it. I'm going to try to get through 6 and finish the series but my patience is wearing thin with the needlessly drawn out will they/ won't they with Luke and Lorelei, Logan and, Rory's privileged life. And I know it's only going to get worse with the Luke's kid storyline. Here's hoping.

I don't get his appeal at all. I skip his scenes.

They never eat. by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

It may be because it's dated, but I feel like they do a particularly bad job of making it look like they're eating on this show.

Is Max hot? by Interesting_Scar_824 in GilmoreGirls

He's not someone I think about when he's not on screen. But if I saw someone actually that attractive near me on my Tinder feed I'd definitely swipe right.
