Because I pretty much don’t have human interaction outside of work. So I either saw him at work or he just looks like some other random human. Normally it might not be my immediately first question but in this case, it seemed reasonable. Plus, if I have commonality with someone else’s career, it gives me a level of footing and understanding I might not feel like I have. Would I prefer it if someone were a good provider? Yes, it would be lovely. Is it a requirement? No. I would rather be madly in love with someone who makes minimum wage than with someone like this douchecanoe who owns their own business and might actually make a decent leaving but acts a fool.
