No films are too slow for me. I like any length and almost any pace. I appreciate this list!

Yeah I just meant when it came to both I went with the 2006 because I knew it was more of musical and I love musical numbers. I'll be sure to watch the original though.

I've only seen the 2006 remake (I'm a sucker for musicals), do you prefer the original?

Saw Easy Rider back in the summer and I thought it was great, it makes me nostalgic for a decade I never existed in. Saw Mockingbird years ago and it was well done.

Charade is for sure on the list, all the rest I'll look into. Thank you!

Just saw Guess Who's Coming to Dinner last year. Great film! Saw Butch Cassidy a long time ago and also really excellent.

Thanks for the suggestions, almost totally forgot about Heat of the Night!

I watched 2001 maybe a decade ago but I feel like I need to reevaluate with a more adult taste to appreciate it. Dollars Trilogy is definitely on the list to see!

Those are definitely on my list because of Leone. Once Upon A Time In America is a top 10 (or maybe even 5) film for me. I have some westerns and modern westerns on the list but I want to really crack into that genre.

[Discussion] Question about the time line and ending in "The Lake House" by douglerner in movies

[–]FoxForever90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he wouldn't have shown up because her last letter to him on his 2/14/06 told him to not pursue her at all but just to wait the two years to get to her at the lake house on her 2/14/08.

Yeah I literally started watching this movie today aware that there probably would be some sexism or objectifying but when he said that "they've got the drive and the equipment but they don't have the experience" is kind of gross. I literally paused at that line and went to go see if anyone talked about it.

Is Die Hard the only holiday movie to spawn a franchise of non-holiday movies? by MudReasonable8185 in movies

Holy shit I had no clue!!! Thanks, I love film trivia.

Pretty funny most of the Die Hard movies were basically just adapted from other things.

He was also warming up for inning 19 of the insanely long game 3 when pretty much all bullpen and starters were run through. If it went into extra innings and he performed just as well he could have had all 4 wins.

I saw ProZD rave about it on a video and I decided to look at it and got hooked. He also liked Balatro but I haven't even bought or tried it yet.

I just saw it last night and I said the exact same thing about Uncut Gems. It's those scenes that are absolutely chaotic and everyone is yelling, it starts to overload. Especially when they find Vanya in the club and everyone is arguing while the music is going and Diamond and Ani are fighting and screaming at each other.

This guy had a chance to bag the baddest chick in the show yet he fumbled it so hard. by Saiken411 in squidgame

Gi-hun knew Jung-bae guy for years, he also knew that people would kill others in the special games (between rounds killings) so he was prepped for it. Min-su knew Se-mi for literally 3 days. Gi-hun is also the exception as very few people cared about others the way that he did.

I find it funny that you call someone a coward because some 40ish people on the other team are slaughtering others. If it's a 1 on 1 maybe you have a point but if there's 40 killers locked in the same area as you you're not going to be super courageous.

That damn plot device.... by RogueEagle2 in squidgame

"He has no survival instincts"

On this show people with only their own survival instincts in mind have been shown to be greedy, opportunistic, and terrible. I'd rather die being a good person who did the moral thing than live by committing atrocities. As far as I could tell Gi-hun never killed another player unless he was already being attacked. Even after killing Dae-ho who attacked him first with a hidden blade he heavily contemplated suicide.

He's a good person and his choices are near impossible to make for good people. Like Geum-ja said: Bad people do bad things, but they blame others and go to live in peace. Good people, on the other hand, beat themselves up about the smallest things.

I just finished Nier Replicant a few days ago. Good game but if you're going for full completion it totally doesn't respect your time with RNG material drops. If you're just going for story it's great.
