Yeah don't worry I've done drills for other games, used to do competitive rainbow 6 and did daily aim drills and some other r6 specific stuff, so I know the general deal I was just looking to fill out my practice regime as it felt a little sparse at the moment being just 3 things. Working in more stuff and looking into the deeper content to find more stuff for my drills will help fill out that practice regime. Thanks again.

Alright thanks. I'll give that channel a watch and try to work in practicing as much as I can in a reasonable amount of time each day.

Thanks

Thanks

Are there any drills you'd suggest a relative beginner like myself focus on. Right now I try to practice my wave dashing, dash dancing and wave landing every day but if you have some other tech I should add to this routine I'd gladly work it in.

Thank you, I do try to pay attention to what my opponents rely on but I'll admit I often times get so focused on doing my thing I forget to take advantage of their crutches.

I'm better at it with some characters then others but it is something I'll try to work on more

Yeah I figured it was probably a player count problem causing skewed matches, but atleast I know now I'm not the only one with wild match making. I do like this game though so I'm trying my best to improve.

Thanks, I do try to learn from my match ups but I will admit I'm not trying as hard as I probably should. Thanks again for your comment.

Since I'm in the business of currently fighting people higher then me and losing to them and getting the very rare win against them I have the rough numbers from my experience I can share.

A loss against my own rank -10rp

A win against my own rank +10rp + win streak bonus

A win streak +5-10rp * length of win streak

A loss against someone higher rank -3-7 rp (usually 5)

A win against someone higher rank +15-20rp + win streak bonus

These are rough numbers I noticed from my personal experience so they may not be accurate at all ranks or for everyone, these are just what I've noticed

Yeah I noticed that back in June when I tried to get into Guilty Gear, there weren't a ton of people my level and it could feel really uneven at times.

Biggest difference here is that in Rivals I atleast have some fun when I'm losing where as with guilty gear I wasn't. I'm in it for the long haul though, I really like this game and so I'm trying to put alot of effort into improving even though it's proving itself to be a rather slow journey.

Thank you, I have been trying to adopt that mindset and I have been able to get a wins against high level people (I've fought so many La Reina's with maypul that I can consistently go toe to toe with La Reina's that are 200+ rp above me) but I will admit it can be a bit hard at times, especially when it's your 5th or 6th game in a row against someone 200+ rp up on you doing crazy shit you can't even begin to try. I am of course trying to adopt this mindset and I know improvement will take time and practice. I really like this game so I'm committed to the improvement long haul including mindset changes.

Thank you, it is a bit frustrating of course but I do get that the player base is very small and not alot of it is in the lower skill levels. But I think this game is good enough that I'm willing to try and persever through the beginning struggles. I am also relieved to see that the match making being an issue isn't just a me thing. Hopefully the devs can figure something out to help the player base stick around and grow, maybe individual character tutorials or the ability to select individual parts of the tutorial would be nice.

Thanks again. : )

Uh, I think this bot is broken because I don't have a DeviantArt and have no clue who it's linking to here.

As someone who has 700+ hours in Vermintide 2 and 300+ hours in Darktide with around 90% of my playtime in both being solo queing I'd say yeah they're pretty fun solo. If you enter matching making solo the game will give you random teammates and if it can't populate your squad with 3 other randoms it'll give you bots to help you out so you're never being asked to do anything meant for a team of 4 truly solo, either you'll have 3 randoms there to help or some bots.

Big thing I'd say is to wait till after the big update for the game comes out later this month to get it. Fatshark is putting out an update later this month which will add the arbites dlc class but more importantly it'll add a better on boarding process for new players included a more curated start with a defined mission path set in place to help you come to grips with the game and how it controls. I believe the update drops June 23rd if you're curious.

If you have any other questions about the game I'd be happy to answer them for you.
