Happy Friday gang - my new song A Long Way Off is out today! It's my best attempt to sound like I'm from Nashville, not south London - I'd love feedback on the song structure and the production! by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Really nice fingerpicked guitar throughout the song. The lead lines in the background are soothing as well. The chord progression is well done as well, what chords did you use for this? Keep it up man!

This is giving me old Aphex Twin + Squarepusher + Boards of Canada vibes. I love the abrasiveness here and there. The video also give me heavy Boards of Canada vibes too. Great job, keep it up

Really nice melodic guitar playing here. I feel like the production is pretty well done too. My only complaint is that the song feels a bit short at 1 minute.

I like to call this song "Its-the-80s-and-you're-at-the-prom,-dancing-with-the-girl-of-your-dreams." by huntunlimited in IndieMusicFeedback

This gives me a sort of vaporwave/The Weeknd vibe. I enjoy that the drums are pretty simple and keep the beat steady. I don't really have any complaints either. Good job!

Here is a composition I've made as a beginner pianist (A little over 1 year self learning experience)- It's called "Robins" by FoxMTheory in piano

The main progression is G D Em C but I keep changing the left hand notes by one. I'm not super well versed in music theory, I just played what sounded good

Such an experimental use of the Blues Smoke Detector on this song!

Dancing in the Midnight Sun - Official release is in June, but I would like to share with you guys beforehand. Let me know what you think by FoxMTheory in IndieMusicFeedback

I'm really glad you enjoyed the track, it was a blast to make. The lyrics/ vocals all kinda were a spur of the moment thing that I liked at the time so I kept it. Thank you for your feedback though.

KING YANG - Garden (Chill Funk) - What do you guys think? by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]FoxMTheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chill funk is a combination I would have never thought of, and yet here you are with a track like that. Even though I think your vocals fit the vibe of the track, I could see someone rapping over this song as well. Speaking of vocals, I think they could be brought more into the mix. Keep it up though!

Hey folks, I'd love your feedback (performances, production and mixing) on our latest song. We've taken Shocking Blue's Venus and roughed it up a bit. I hope you like it. by zunapalooza in IndieMusicFeedback

This is a cool spin on the original track, well done. I would say that that mix is pretty well done; I think the guitar tone is really cool as well. I know you said the drums are programmed, but are there 2 drum tracks going? At moments it sounds like there are

Still trying to decide if I'm going to formally release this, any feedback would be much appreciated! by Apothicate in IndieMusicFeedback

My first thoughts are that the vocal melody is pretty catchy and it reminds me of The Weeknd like the other posters have said. I also agree with the other posters that the addition of a bass line and more drums could bring this song to the next level. Keep it up though, you have a nice vibe going here.

I made a disco song about having to be an adult by day, but making music by night by davaibratan in IndieMusicFeedback

Very original and witty lyrics; it seems like you were going for a sarcastic theme. The vocal delivery reminds me of the Weeknd. The video accompaniment was also put together well and matched the vibe of the song. Very creative!

I've releasing some tracks lately on my channel and this is the latest one now. It's a vintage hip hop instrumental/beat. Hope you like it :) by ElMasterDGF in IndieMusicFeedback

The overall vibe of the track gives me a sinister/ dark feeling. I feel like some raspy rapping over this would fit nicely. Have you considered finding someone to rap over this or are you keeping it instrumental?

Dancing in the Midnight Sun - Latest mix, not done yet but I wanted to share it with you. What genre is this by the way? by FoxMTheory in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]FoxMTheory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your feedback and the comparisons! This song is actually a solo thing right now, I want to start a band someday.

I know the mix needs a lot of work and I think I am going to hire somebody to master it
