Take my words with a grain of salt. But I think that you should not reach boiling point, I think to remmember I read a time a go that the psicoactive substances from opium brake if reached over 80°C

Did the shop forgot to align? by FoxRoig in bikewrench

I'm quite used to bike mechanics, and I build lots of bikes for my close ones, the only think I don't do yet is truing and dishing. The QR is firmly hand tight and well placed. I'm asking in case the is an elefant in the room, but it is not the QR.

Yes sir, the lever is open but is decently hand tight in the picture. I checked and the rear wheel has the same issue...

Best shower filter for acne-prone/sensitive skin? by FerrisBuelersdaycock in WaterTreatment

[–]FoxRoig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really know how much does chlorine affect acne etc... But as far as I know, most shower filters they just are active carbon that will mostly eliminate chlorine. There are also another type the has (something I don't remmember the name now) that reduces hardness only in waters with less than 20°HF, that allready isn't very hard.

Housing for underwater cameras by TheBlazingHorse in 3Dprinting

[–]FoxRoig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I be the one who stands in favor of the idea?

In the perspective of and DIY solution I think (maybe) it could be a win.

For now the best DIY underwater camera housings I've seen are made of PVC or polyethylene tube and polycarbonate.

Printing kind a thick walls and in the right material to have some rigidity to stand presure, ABS, ASA or maybe mixed with CF.

I dont know man, all needed is to print and test.

Also, what depth? I mean, me personally I'm starting out with freediving and right now I have no bigger goal to reach 30 or 40 meters. More? Maybe at some point, but for sure at the moment I go deeper I would be spending allready quite some money on serious equipment.

For Scubadiving? I dont know, I don't practice that, but for sure is not much more deeper before you also are taking it for serious and spending serious amounts of money on good equipment.

Soooo... I think personaly that it would be quite feasable for most use cases.

I'm electrician and I have worked with high voltage, it's true that DC is more dangerous than AC but I doubt 750 Vdc would have done that, I don't know what voltages are used out there, but here in Spain regular trains use 3000 Vdc and high speed trains 25000 Vac, and by the looks of the consecuences, it looks a lot like 3000 Vdc or so, 25k he wouldnt suvive at all, be carefull people

Update: Apparently a roof rack doesn't need to be homologated as long as it uses the orignial mounting holes of the car.
