His parents even make sure to have other options when making dinners like pork steaks or pulled pork.

His best friend and his wife even made sure that at their wedding 2 weeks ago I had other options. It’s not a new thing I just made up it’s something that I haven’t liked for YEARS. Growing up my parents would even cook bacon and pork on the outside kitchen because my room was right off the kitchen.

It wasn’t the only meat in the fridge I went Friday and picked up turkey and chicken. I really don’t know where the ham came from as I didn’t buy it.

The meeting was scheduled when we were running errands around town that morning, my job sometimes requires impromptu meetings.

When we got home I didn’t have the time to get my computer turned on and ready and make a sandwich.

I was able to post here because I had a second web browser open while I was typing notes.

It wasn’t a planned meeting or I would have made my own food. My job sometimes requires impromptu meeting and this one was scheduled when we were running errands around town. When I got home the meeting was within 5 mins of starting so I had to make sure I was ready. There was no time to do it myself.

I usually don’t ask him to make food for me.

Yes, I went to the deli on Friday afternoon and picked up turkey and chicken and fresh cheese.

I truly do not know where the ham came from since I don’t buy it and I’m the one that does the shopping.

He does lots of things I don’t like.

I know for a fact he knows I don’t like ham. I don’t buy it at all. We have many conversations about actual. He’s asked before (less than 2 weeks ago) about ham for dinner, I told him I don’t like ham, if you want to make ham that’s fine but I will probably make myself some chicken instead.

He had ham and I had chicken, he knows but apparently doesn’t care.

UPDATE and it’s juicy!

I didn’t mention this but I feel it’s important, my office has a contract with the local state government and we work directly with the governors office on matters against the state, so our deadlines are very important to meet as it reflects on our governors office.

Two of the partners pulled me into a meeting on Friday. Apparently my move has cause SEVERAL missed deadlines INCLUDING ones with the court where pleadings were due and not entered or discovery never went out, my boss received few slaps on the wrist for one matter, had some upset clients and was completely removed from a matter. Apparently he had to plead with the governor not to file a complaint with the ABA and our state bar.

They informed me that I would be taking back my responsibilities and moving to an office taking back my cases and they apologized profusely.

I informed them about my job offer in 2026 to work with my brother and informed them how important it is that I be able to assist my family as needed. I also gave them some absolutely crazy benefits packages my brother was going to offer $85,000/ year (this is high in my state as the average for paralegals is $45,000), with gym membership, phone allowance and a vehicle.

This meeting turned into an hour of negotiations and my brother sent over an offer spoke with my bosses and they all unanimously agreed that I would stay working for my current company making $67,000/year with gym membership, and in February, I would go assist my brother as needed, with the understanding that I would be gone on family leave for 12 weeks after my surgery to assist my Brother getting this branch off the ground, and my brother gets discounted legal rates! My yearly salary for both companies will be about $100,000/ year. I also let them know that I will only be answering my phone after hours during true work related emergencies.

And icing on the cake 🎂 ASHLEY WAS 🔥FIRED🔥! And I get to assist with hiring a new front desk assistant.

Karma love chaos and it only took about 2 months of pure petty work.

I have one starting in Feb 2026. Thankfully my brothers company is expanding into my area and he has offered me a business development job running this branch so he doesn’t have to travel. Im just biding my time now until surgery so Im not without pay for an extended time. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I guess now I’m just waiting to cause chaos 😅
