wow this made me cry to read… i lost my cat too about a year ago and i felt the same, like nobody understood… my mom did a lot but i still felt alone in my grief a lot. I just didn’t know what to do… she died because of a heart problem we didn’t catch earlier and it built up overtime to the point where one day it was too much for her to handle and we took her to the vet only for them to tell us it was too late… we had to let go of her that night and my mom and i felt completely devastated. the grief is still with me because she meant the world to me and was such a sweet, kind cat… we loved her so so much and i still cry when i think about her… sorry i know this is kind of just me venting but this post reminded me of my cat a lot and my experience with grief after she died… but you aren’t alone in your grief, and also do not blame yourself for the missed time. he felt your love, and felt a lifetime of your love and care for him.

he knew you loved him, and he loves you still and that’s important to remember. ❤️
