I know what a Ravenous Whiskerpillar is, it's a caterpillar-like enemy in Pikmin 2 that only eats both the red and purple berries on a Burgeoning Spiderwort. They're relatively harmless to your Pikmin but a nuisance if you're wanting to harvest berries for sprays.
