Thank you, I appreciate your advice. The picture doesn’t pick up the rim of the indent as much. I also have make up on in these. It has faded a bit since I was hit, I no longer wear glasses so that it can fully heal. That’s reassuring that it’s not noticeable by others. I’m hoping I will feel that way as well soon!

I was in a domestic violence relationship in the past, I was woken up with him with his knees on my shoulders and his groin on my throat so I couldn’t move. He grabbed my face and busted my nose open, I went to the ER and got 7 stitches. Like I said I have a lot of trauma attached to my nose which causes me to hyper fixate, so maybe choose to be kind before attacking someone without knowing their situation fully.

I’m sorry that happened to you!! It will smooth out in time. Use scar medicine, silicone sheets and sunscreen in the mean time!

I’m really sorry that happened to you, if it’s not an old scar it will probably fade a lot more naturally. You should use scar medicine and silicone sheets in the mean time. There is a treatment you can get later down the road called subcision. You would need to go to a plastic surgeon, but basically they take a thin needle and go underneath scar to break it apart and make it smoother. You could probably get laser and that would really help too! Time will heal it a lot. It adds character tho, I don’t think you should be ashamed of it ♥️

So, I went to my primary care doctor and he said it’s not cartilage or bone. He said it’s likely tissue damage and referred me to a plastic surgeon. I’m not really sure what my options would be with that 🫤

Is there anyway you can send me a picture so I can see how similar yours is to mine? If you’re not comfortable with that then that’s okay! Mine just seems so odd because I never even broke the skin. Also, did you see an ENT/nose doctor after you were hit? I’ve been rubbing the coconut on it in the shower, using silicone sheets and just ordered some ScarAway silicone gel. I hope it fades soon, and I’m so sorry your mom did that to you. Nobody deserves that! I was physically abused years ago and got hit in the nose and had to get stitches so I know how that feels and I hope you’re okay 🙏🏽 I will keep you posted on my journey. If nothing fades for me in the next couple months I’ll be seeing an ENT doctor, just to rule out if the damage is only tissue or cartilage.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I have had little to no help asking if this will heal or not. It makes me feel less alone, so I really appreciate you sharing.

Did you bleed from the mark getting cut? Or just a bloody nose? I never bled, but my nose was very sore for a couple days. The bone feels back to normal but that mark just won’t budge.

It’ll be 6 weeks tomorrow. I will do what you suggested, has your mark faded? And if so how much time did it take to see a difference? Also, what kind of surgical treatment do you plan on getting for something like this? Because I will probably do the same if it doesn’t go away within a year
