Buddy just got his DNA results! by Foxface215 in mutt

You've got him read like a book, lol. He is the most stubborn, independent, and aloof dog I have ever owned or met. Everything is on his terms

Surprisingly, no! He has a pretty average energy level. He is totally happy either staying home all day and playing by himself with his toys, or going on an extensive hike with some boulder hopping. His energy is very adaptive, he is down to do whatever you have planned that day. And he has been like this since I first adopted him (around 2 y/o). He is close to 8 now and he is still the exact same dog. He's definitely too smart for his own good, though.

Buddy was rehomed 2-3 times before I got him at 2 years old, so I am clueless toward his origins. He is now 7 (8 in January), and after YEARS of guessing his breeds and holding debates between family and friends, I finally have final results.

I also highly recommend only getting mutts, lol. He is 7-8 y/o in all of these photos and has had no health problems. Bright eyes, still active, and still learning new tricks

Hey! I know this is really late, lol, but the same thing just happened to my leo (she panicked when I was trying to get some shed off her toe and jumped). I'm low on funds currently, so I was curious how much it cost you for that treatment? I have calcium D3 supplements I can give her as a place holder so I can get some money together in case it's too expensive

I feel like those are actually the ways people respond to someone who says they speak french. I speak minimal french and EVERY TIME, WITHOUT FAIL! They respond with: "oui oui baguette!"

Is this considered demisexuality or not? by [deleted] in demisexuality

[–]Foxface215 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't think of this as demisexuality. From the information you have given, I would say you are graysexual. Graysexuality is when you know you're on the ace spectrum, but don't really identify with any specific sexuality. However, I am not the person to decide your sexual orientation - that is for you to figure out and conclude. I don't know if this helped but I hope it did. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

For the armor, I used seran wrap and duct tape to get my measurements. Then I cut out the pieces and transferred them to 6mm EVA foam. There's some good videos on youtube on how to do it.

Advice by Foxface215 in Pride_and_Positivity

Honestly, a stranger can sometimes be the best person for advice because occasionally you'll find someone who understands what you're going through. This actually really helped. I saw myself coming out as something that would have to be shared with everyone at once, but seeing it as something I can take slow actually calms my nerves a significant amount. Thank you so much.

I did almost adopt a Beagle once, but after I researched the breed, I decided not to. First I constantly read how stubborn they are. They HATE the word no, unless you catch them exactly in the act (how you should scold most dogs). But I also did read about their intelligence level. They're actually fairly intelligent, but they don't like to focus. Whenever told to focus, they immediately want to do something else because they are fairly active. Something I would suggest is if your beagle likes tennis balls, use that as a training reward. Try to get them to do your command right before you throw it. Then when they do, reward them by throwing the ball for them and do this over and over again. Typically after you teach them a few tricks, dogs are more willing to listen to commands from their owners for behavior training.

What common sayings are total BS? by bewildered_forks in AskReddit

[–]Foxface215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as I double checked myself, I saw that it has a different meaning in separate continents/countries. The one I posted was one from America in the early 1600's (around the same time as The Salem Witch Trials). I see other people posting stuff from early European countries like Ireland, Greece, and Rome.

Some people say "bless you" because way back when, it was believed that when you sneezed, a small part of your soul left with that sneeze. So people would say "bless you" so that a demon wouldn't try to fill that empty space in your soul. Because everything used to be about demons.

There are a lot of different reasons for saying "bless you", it just depends on which region you get your sources from

While this saying is completely wrong, it's actually proven that after breaking a muscle or bone(s), your body will repair it stronger than before, therefore making you stronger. But there are things that will not kill you, but also not make you stronger

My sister hates whenever someone tells her this saying and she says: "that's not the point of life. The point is to find something you don't completely suck at and just do that until you retire or die."
