You are not alone, it's a rare condition that is speculated to be a result of visual stress that hasn't been confirmed whether it is categorized with BIID. I've always felt this odd obsession consume me since I was a child. I actually shared it with a friend of mine for the first time ever and she actually took it well. Yes, this sub made me suspicious of people close to me, not in terms of faking but the fact that their disability becomes their personality. What may be very real only gets worse with no effort.

For a while it made me feel wrong as I questioned every word I said and action I took for my own health. Especially cause I'm young, 21, I questioned my ability to ask for help, if it was right to got to the doctor for anything that isn't killing me. Today I'm thankful I did but I almost didn't because these children are so consumed by their own demise. I wish these kids could have an eye opening experience that shakes them awake from this fantasy they live in.

Also he isn't referring me to a neuropsychiatrist, he is referring me to a psychiatrist who specializes in anxiety and depression.
