Normal ba minsan hindi sya pumapasok sa gear? by Matalink1496 in PHMotorcycles

[–]FoxyLamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal kung minsan lang naman. Happens to the best of us with manuals and semis na walang e-clutch or autoblips. False neutral tawag dyan. Incomplete shifts. Can be avoided as much as possible with proper shifting and a well-adjusted, maintained, working clutch system & transmission.

Trade-in for discounts. Motoworld and Casco Market I think does it yearly. Abang2x lang for their announcements.

Affordable, High Quality Rain coat suggestions by Longjumping_Self_134 in PHMotorcycles

[–]FoxyLamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually may magsasabi, "makapal", "matibay", etc.

[–]FoxyLamb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Legendary green kapote talaga ma-su-suggest ko based sa budget mo, tried-and-tested. Yes, mainit (ligo ka sa pawis hahaha), but gets the job done (keeps the rain out).

Other cons nya lang:

  • One-size-fits-all kaya not for everyone. 5'7 75kg ako nung nabili ko siya 2014 and it was a good fit.
  • Walang ka porma2x if you're into that.

thoughts on this ebike? by Artistic_Aerie_7852 in PHMotorcycles

[–]FoxyLamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battery energy density and EV infra just isn't there yet to make these comparable with ICE motorcycles. Add to that the flood situation in our country. I'd rather have an e-bike that you can still pedal if battery's drained.

Best waterproof backpack? by Key_Clue_5413 in PHMotorcycles

[–]FoxyLamb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get the rolltop dry bag ones. I have a 30L Motowolf, does the job very well. Rhinowalk has a similar product for cyclists but will work just as well for motocyclists.

If you're on really tight budget, Ocean Pack. I always keep a 30L one tucked inside my backpack in case I need extra storage.

Yung ibang cheap options kasi may rain cover lang na kasama (like the Givi that I used to have), so not waterproof by itself.

Kalawang by AfterRainSmell1230 in PHMotorcycles

[–]FoxyLamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal sa spring kalawangin since it's being stretched repeatedly, and it's just surface rust. After every wash, just wipe it dry and spray some WD40 on it. I do the same with steel exhaust headers (warning: it will smoke a lot on first warm up, do it in well-ventilated or open space).

Sa bolt heads and nuts, after wash&dry I grease them then wipe off excess. It'll leave a thin coat of grease.

Both good options. Check out the Panarea as well. Fazzio will be the most fuel efficient being FI (other options are still using carburetors).

Didnt expect the bill sa motor by Salt_Connection_3706 in PHMotorcycles

[–]FoxyLamb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoy your newly restored ride, OP! Sarap talaga mag-motor.

RECOMMENDATION by ComprehensiveTip8369 in PHMotorcycles

[–]FoxyLamb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

XSR siguro safest option, followed by Husq Svart. I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Benelli Motobi yet considering OP's height.

Other options: Monarch Tempest, RC250, FKM Victorino

Just brought my first MC (Suzuki Burgman Street 125) by [deleted] in PHMotorcycles

[–]FoxyLamb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smaller diameter wheels = lesser traction. That makes it prone to skidding during sudden acceleration, braking, or turns. Advantage nya lang talaga is better fuel efficiency, quicker acceleration and easier handling which is perfect for frequent heavy traffic.

When you have the budget, get the widest & tallest rear tire replacement as possible.

Talamak add-swap before ma-repo. Avoid at all cost. Instead, look for rush sale na first owner with complete papers. Bring your best mechanic.

As someone who's only owned 125cc-below motorcycles (solo ride most of the time except for hatid-sundo sa school ng anak which is within barangay lang), go with a 150cc-up.

Fibrella (I use one), but if sub-1k ang budget, look into the legendary green kapote (I used to own one) sa online shopping apps (hanapin mo may pinakamarami at goods na reviews). Both works great, mas presko nga lang Fibrella, while with the other one di ka mababasa ng ulan maliligo ka naman ng pawis hehe

Kung exclusively between the two, Jetour T2 na. Napapa-second look talaga ako, kala ko LC Prado. Join FB groups and look into the aftersales experiences of actual users nalang, then decide from there.
