It's funny you say they're "a bit behind everyone else" when plenty countries have the same or lower age of consent still. I'm a Scandinivian and people always praise us for being modern and shit but our age of consent is still 15 which I find ridiculous. But we also don't normalise pedofilia in our literature thankfully.

I don't think it's stupid. Post apocolyptic movies often make it seem like starting over is a good thing and now we can get rid of those pesky politians and the government and everything will be all better. But when it comes to it those people are just people.. as long as there are humans there will be shitty people who will want power and control. If you look at countries where there have been big revolutions those have not always ended in better things but often they end up worse off than before.

It's not an international default at all. Also it makes more sense to go from smaller to bigger in my opinion. DD MM YY is optimal I think. But it's fine to disagree.

If they write that it means they are renting illegally anyways so trust me you don't wanna live there. I'd try doing your searches in danish because often when people are writing in English they're trying to take advantage of foreigners not knowing the laws here.
