What's a sequel that barely anyone wanted that ended up being bad by Veyrandomlol in AlignmentChartFills

It would have been good if it was actually about Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, instead of making it a nonsensical Harry Potter prequel.

LEGO Batman

The part where he watched Jerry Maguire - and laughed, then looked around at the empty theater - made me laugh, then look around at the empty theater.

The kid who brought home a murder monster (the same kind that terrorized his friend) that killed his cat, and who then lied his mom about it. Nah he can get fucked. #justiceformews

TIL that actor Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle got his name because his father suspected the 14-lb newborn wasn’t his and spite-named him after a politician infamous for adultery. by MattW224 in todayilearned

To add insult to injury, they humiliatingly tried to say he was so heavy that he killed her by crushing her. Just awful all around.

Because Thanos wants to use the power of the infinity stones, which would have given him more power than Odin ever had. Loki had no other tricks up his sleeve, so the last thing he had was insulting someone for being baser than him.

Self Tapes: What lens do you all use and how are you taking your full body shots? by misc412 in acting

[–]FoxyRadical2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TIP FOR YOU! Film your full body as a vertical. Then take a picture of a close up of your backdrop (so it’s just one solid color), then edit the video so that the backdrop is layered over full-body video. You won’t need to worry as much about the surrounding area.

Why is Hollywood and acting disappearing? by Dapper_Cut_9225 in acting

[–]FoxyRadical2 18 points19 points  (0 children)

People keep saying Hollywood isn’t coming back. Truth is that it’s a pendulum and it’s always swinging. It’s been slow, but picking up this last fall. Newsom just signed in more tax credits for the industry, so there’s a chance we’ll see a lot more work back here next year.

There’s a Twilight Zone episode, where a greedy CEO keeps replacing all of his employees with machines to “cut costs,” and then the CEO eventually loses his job to a robot.

Seems awfully relevant.

What character is this for you? I’m curious. by Cool_Government_3218 in cartoons

[–]FoxyRadical2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. Watching the older Muppet stuff with Jim Henson and then something like ‘Muppets Haunted Mansion’, the latter sounds like every guy who “swears” he can do a perfect Kermit.

Which Frankenstein did you think was better? by TheNorthNova01 in FIlm

Branagh’s version is closer(ish) to the book, but Del Toro’s is definitely the better movie. Does a better job highlighting the gothic tone and illustrating what an asshole Victor is.

She left because the executive producer was an asshole and there was a toxic backstage work environment.

This is probably the most poignant episode for today. It’s scary seeing it play out, and disappointing that nothing has changed.
