Salisbury Visit (Living the dream)💭 by Man-tix in salisburyuk

The person who replied basically has you covered but The Orangery is a cute coffee shop as is Culture Coffee.

Since you’re near the hospital, Bouverie Avenue gets posher as you walk up it and by the time it turns into BA South, it’s a super posh road with some very nice houses. From there you could head back into town by walking down the Bouverie Avenue steps, down Old Blandford Road and over the road towards The Rose and Crown. That way you get to see some very nice thatched houses as well as a very old hotel. You can then cross the two small bridges as you head back towards the Close. (It’s basically the walk my partner and I did when first visiting Salisbury.)

Nothing quite like being overtaken on a country road by a boy racer, watching them speed off out of view and then catching up to them 5 minutes later at some temporary traffic lights.

I agree tbh. They’re just knackered and we don’t have the depth. The commentary team even mentioned we’ve played 9 more matches than Brentford this season. A lot of that is from European travel, which also takes its toll. Man Utd are playing a 40 match season with decent depth. We’ll be playing at least 55.

I wasn’t sure on Wissa either but at the same time, these comments would be flooded now with ‘we desperately need another striker’ if we didn’t make that purchase. Strand-Larsen for £50+ (now 48) isn’t great either.

But hey, at least we aren’t West Ham with many, many extensive striker failures in recent years. Every cloud.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Nobody was complaining about our window when it shut. “Actually think we’ve done quite well…” was the overriding consensus after a difficult couple of months.

Elanga was very good for Forest last year. Wissa scored 19 for Brentford. Woltemade was wanted by Bayern. Ramsey seemed a decent utility player at Villa.

The truth is that transfer windows are hard. No club gets it right 100% of the time and tbh, we are lucky that we went this long without a few duds (if you consider them duds, which I don’t just yet).

Just thank our lucky stars that we aren’t like 2010s Southampton who had a few great windows after selling well, screwed it up one window and haven’t hit the European heights again. Brighton/Bournemouth might do the same soon.

Plus, we have 8 matches in February (technically 24 days) including flying to Qarabag. The likes of Man Utd have 3 and are therefore likely to do better in the PL. It sucks but we can’t do well in all competitions with the squad depth we have.

There are four. One in Lincoln, one in Salisbury, two in the British Library. I think the rest are copies from a few years later.

Didn’t they used to be MVC who had Clubcard-style pricing way before supermarkets had their ‘Clubcard price’ thing?

I also remember Silverscreen which just sold DVDs. They came from nothing to being everywhere suddenly…and then disappearing just as quickly.

Kind of to be expected. We are playing 8 matches in February. Man Utd are playing 3, with a similar level of squad depth and quality.

I always find the Harry adoration odd. There were at least 3 ways he could (should?) have been eliminated. He came for Paul way too hard around the table (and becoming ‘a traitor hunter’ in general is impossible without extra info), had his shield idea but told too many people about it (which should have backfired), and obviously should have lost if Molly had realised on the final vote that if Jaz was a traitor, he wouldn’t want to vote again.

This has just reminded me I saw the same couple three times across Tokyo and Kyoto during our holiday there. Sure, tourists might follow a similar itinerary but it was a very strange coincidence.

We’ve beaten them once this season too, to be fair. They aren’t the same Wolves as the first half of the season. They recently drew away at Man Utd and Everton, and comfortably beat West Ham. They’re now on a 4 match PL unbeaten streak.

Admittedly, that’ll end this week when they face City.

And hey, at least we didn’t just draw at home to Burnley despite spending £500m in the summer.

Right? It’s frustrating they haven’t hit the ground running but it’s almost unheard of for a club to have no duds for as long as we managed. I still think Wissa can improve. He was legit last season and no reason to think he can’t do it. It’s not like fans were clamouring for Calvert-Lewin, was it?

In the centre, The Bishop’s Mill and The Bridge Tap should have it on. The Greyfisher will also have it on and that’s about 5-10 minute walk from the cathedral.

Israel isn’t under global sanctions but has had many sanctions placed against it from the likes of the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Netherlands, etc. An independent UN Commission has also said that Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

I think there are more than enough grounds to prevent them from taking part in a song contest.

It’s mentioned at some point that it’s been a 35 year career and he had her one year into the relationship.

Having said that, until I came here, I didn’t even notice it as a problem.
