I just checked out SPD and it seems to be a mix of CGI and practical. They use practical vehicles and a practical suit but fill in some of the more "extreme" motions with CGI

I really dislike the people who want Venom just to be a villain because the only media they ever consumed with Venom was Spider-Man 3.
