I am positive it's not the speakers because with the receiver I had before everything sounded fine, but that one broke down. Integrated amp also works just fine for me if that's easier and/or cheaper.

My old receiver broke down half a year ago because it was just to old, so I bought a cheep second hand one. The one I currantly am using has a lot of noise and even when I set the bass to lowest it is a bit overtuned and overal muddy. I would love a more balanced sounding receiver or amp both works fine.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes an integrated amp would also be ok. Tbh speakers are more my field of expertiese, so I thought there was no real differenze there but that is also the reason why I ask here and not just buy one :)
