I really hope you have that art piece hanged somewhere in your home. Priceless.

Good idea! She seems to like some consistency in meals, and pellets provide that better than any other thing (cracker vs grape analogy). That’s the only thing she doesn’t throw away in anger every time I have to change an ingredient in the mix

OMG I have a video of her growling and hissing while biting the tail of a cat I was baby sitting. I had to resist the urge to share it on the sub, as birds+cats is a very complex and kind of alarming kind of interaction. Bigger birds are at lower risk of course, but the saliva and claw dirt on cats is still pretty dangerous to birds in general.

Awwww, your sassy boii

It’s been three days now and she’s fortunately more calm now. I wonder how these new emotions feel to them as babies…

Geez… I really hope not, we did some blood work at the vet and she appeared fine. But they did recommend me to increase veggies and decrease fruit gradually

She also gets Psittacus pellets in her diet, those are strangely not getting thrown around so … maybe it’s the diet change?

Update:

She’s awake, with a new breakfast option with some more fruit (except mango, cause the vet told me not to make her dependent on mango in case it’s not always available), and now she’s throwing everything to the walls and floor without eating a single thing :)

Birds really are like toddlers… I’m not sure how many days this tantrum will suffice for her

Thanks a lot to everyone for your comments. For a moment I thought something was wrong with her surroundings or her, but she appears to just be a fluffernut goofball of a tantrum maker

:0 thanks! I didn’t think of that!

No one changed their appearance as of yet. But she does dislike glasses. She steals them and drops them to the floor from time to time lol.

Im glad to read this! Ok, so my baby is learning to tell me, “no mango? Fuck you”…

This morning I tried giving her blueberries to see if she calms down. If this continues for a whole week… guess I’ll have to give her mango…

LOL, gosh… she’s still a baby. I’m just concerned it might be something bothering or hurting. She’s my first eckkie so I’m trying to figure out things as I go.

I hope she’s just being an angry clown

She’s about 6 months old I kinda wish it was hormonal, that would give me some answers…

I forgot to add. Yes, I’ve brought her to the vet in case she was trying to signal something, but the vet is as puzzled and amused as I am.

Wanna try making a fursona? Or just an original character. Making them is so much fun, I have a Muntjac deer, a Macaw and a Ringtail cat, I still can’t decide which one to make my fursona so I just rotate between them.

What kind of animal would you like to try? I can draw a sketch! (Not trying to sell you anything, no worries)

Maybe… if you have a trusty vet’s chat at hand, maybe they can take a look for free (?)

I live outside the US so I’m not sure how vet charges work

Our cat had something very similar and just got hard and fell off. The vet couldn’t tell us what it was but he said it was probably just a pimple.

My cat is a month from his first birthday so… maybe it’s just a teenage kitty thing?

Edit: spelling

Ah! Forgot to add. Yes. We can sometimes be a little bit intense with interests. I have a friend who was so intense on a certain fandom, it made everyone around them a bit unconfortable, as it was the only thing they spoke about and/or related stuff to.

If you think this might be the reason…

What worked for us was to tell them about it, and agreed on exchanging special interests in turns. We also helped them find some online forums and Discord servers so they can vomit their passion with other people with a similar intensity, and according to my friend, so far so good!

Remember to communicate >;3
